Do you think Xbox (Microsoft), PS3 (Sony), and other MMO type providers will try to fight this?

its easy to count traffic across a line. by the way its a reality that isp's are starting to implement pay-per usage on their systems.sprint just implemented a 5GB cap on their "unlimited" service.but its still called unlimited, with small print at the bottom defining unlimited

With the caps being discussed, this will only affect the top 1% or so of the user base. The services the OP mentioned wouldn't hit the bandwidth caps unless used 24/7. P2P user and people who do a lot of video streaming are the targets of the bandwidth caps. The truth is, they won't affect that vast majority of user. I'm not saying that the whole thing isn't bullshit, but most people won't be affected. As for the definition of unlimited used by mobile providers, well I just think that's false advertising and that the FTC or FCC or whoever manages such things should step in to make sure customers know exactly what they're paying for.

yes, I do use 95% of my "available" bandwidth EVERYDAY downloading from newsgroups.if they sell it to me then I am going to use it!its cause of me that everyone is going to pay!
