New used to be exact. Got an '01 M3, 95k, new shocks, brakes, tires. Car is in excellent condition inside/out. Florida car, one owner, garage kept with cover on. Inspection II just performed including valve adjustment (which is done every 30k). I really wanted an '03.5+ due to updated LED tails. I also wanted optional forged 19", but for the price I paid I am perfectly content with 18", which are actually a better choice considering NY/CT roads. 19" are great, but ride is somewhat punishing and cost of tires is not insignificant. Comparison wise E46 is not as nimble as e36 m3, but engine, m-variable diff, and creature comforts more than make up for it. Silver is dime a dozen on BMW, really wanted imola red, but after washing it, I will learn to love it. It will be easier to maintain.E36 was running like a champ, but just got tired of the car and needed a change of scenery, so if anyone is interested....boston green/modena leather, 5-speed, 84k, e36 m3 is for sale. Needs nothing.here are the pic of the whip:[Edited on August 4, 2008 at 6:46 PM. Reason : k]

Thanks...optmus, imola red is gorgeous, but most of the imola cars are jacked up by about $1-1.5k over other colors. boston E36 i haven't thought about the price...maybe 12ish?

need to check and make sure the rod bearing recall was performed at one point if you havent been assured of that already, or pm me the last 7 of the vin and i can find out for youjust as a precaution since it was the 01-02ish ones that had the issues.
8/5/2008 8:59:31 PM
it's an 03/01 build, which i believe was not affected by rod bearing recall. it started from 10/01 i think

my mom just bought an 05 330cic... we test drove an 04 m3 convertible last week but it was a little rough.
8/11/2008 5:54:47 PM
/\ that a ZHP car, or it just have the M-Tek front bumper cover? Not sure how I feel about the E90 wheels on there......
8/11/2008 6:31:53 PM
Oh yeah, as for the rod bearing recall........the first bulletin was from 10/01/01 production to 2/28/02 . The later revised SIB has the dates from 2/12/2001- 5/22/03 production.
8/11/2008 6:36:24 PM
its good to see you're not afraid of being original in your choice of car

what?
8/12/2008 12:00:20 AM
Oh, I called an exhaust system "an exhaust" and they went nuts about it. Apparently if you don't call it an exhaust system, you're an idiot, because all cars produce exhaust, dur hur.
8/12/2008 12:01:20 AM
wicked license plate!
8/12/2008 3:26:48 PM
Does that vert have the Alacantara wheel? Shoot me the last 7 of the VIN on here or HPJ.......I'll find out for you. It appears to be a ZHP though.
8/12/2008 7:51:11 PM
joel, thats a beautiful ride. looks sharp and e90 sports package wheels look alright. you'll know if it's ZHP (performance package) if it has alcantara wheel. most owners replaced it with M-wheel because alcantara wears out fast. just by judging from the outside it could be that previous owner just modded the regular cic or it could be real deal ZHP.difference is...10 more hp, 6800rpm (vs 6500 on regular 3-series), more aggressive cams, shorter diff ratio, lower and stiffer suspension, quicker steering ratio, factory shorter shifter, more aggressive bumpers etc.
