I just moved from Raleigh area to Maryland.
I am trying to sell my car in Raleigh.
How do you sell it? I can only visit Raleigh on Sat and Sun.

How does waiver work?

if maryland requires it, you have your signature notarized on the title at your bank, the dmv, or wherever. look on the title, it will have a spot for a notary to sign and stamp their seals if it's required. if maryland does not require this, you simply sign the title over then the buyer takes it to the dmv here. it's no trouble either way.

edit: just looked it up right quick in my title book. no, you don't need to even have it notarized. only sign it over and have the buyer fill in their name and address. a notarized bill of sale MIGHT be required in certain situations if you were selling it in maryland, but it doesn't matter for nc.

Yeah, I sold a car titled in Illinois out here a few months back, and it's pretty much just as simple as BBR stated: signing over the title, and then the buyer just gets a new NC title.
