I'm looking to use the tilt to send mms messages, but only use wifi when surfing the internet. The tilt currently has no internet enabled, and doesn't seem to do mms . Is there a way to fix it so you can send mms messages, and use the wifi internet, without connecting to a costly data plan. The plan i'm on has unlimited txt and mms.

from what i've found through google, you need some data plan stuff. i don't have the phone, my sister does. So i just need someone with the phone, who likely has the same problem, to explain to me exactly what they did so i can explain it to her over the phone. I just need to block data usage for internet and enable it for mms, while at the same time allowing the phone to only use wifi when accessing internet

maybe you didnt read what i wroteat&t servers are setup so you can not send MMS messages over wi-fi, period. it's not just a problem with the phone, it's how at&t is setup. a few things i read said you can still receive them but i'm not 100% on that. hell i'm not even sure about the first part bc i spent less than a minute googling but it looks like i found more than you did.why not just pay the $19/month and get unlimited text/internet/mms... if you text at all youre gonna spend that much on a plan anyways. i really think that's about your only option

yeah text messages are $15 for 1500, so pay $4 and get internet.

It's more than $20...first of all they try to get you to do the PDA plan which is around $40-$50. You can end up getting unlimited data for $20 but that doesn't include texting. That is an extra $15 for unlimited. The iPhone plan is/was $20 (now $30 I think). When I first got my Tilt the only data packages available (online) for me to change my plan to were the expensive PDA plans. They assume with a phone like the tilt that you are going to be tethering it to your laptop and eating up bandwidth. Not sure how I got the $20 data (unlimited) option to show-up...I think I kept changing "my phone" online to my old phone, the Razor so that I could get the cheaper plan. If you have a non-PDA phone then you can get unlimited data for $15 but unlimited text is still $15 also.

The pda plan is 30$/month and unlimited text is 20$/month on top of that.
