Triple option huh? If last year is any indication, I guess I can look forward to them getting 12+ yards on each 1st down against us.

Well we don't play GT this year. Hopefully by the time we have to play them again we'll have a much improved run defense.

Look for Georgia Tech to drop in recruit estimates now.

the best part of tech games is drinking and tailgating on campus

What kind of version of the triple option is he going to use? The wishbone, the veer, or the I formation? I'm guessing it will be the wishbone option with the flexbone formation since that is what he used at Georgia Southern and Navy.

But if atleast two guys break through their O-line that triple option wont mean crap!! Do they have alot of starters returning back on the O-line?

^ not really, it is an offense based on over penetration(that's what she said) upfield. So against teams like us(at least in the past) who have linemen that will just charge up field and not remember their assignments to contain, this works very well.

I think it will work against certain teams in the conference...only problem is those are teams they would likely beat regardless of them running the option or not

A gimmick offense?Come on!
7/29/2008 4:42:58 PM
um... what am I missing here? this is news?

a triple option just becomes an option if you're playing against dominant DTs

so glad we didn't get him
