where do you guys go to find out about upcoming events n stuff??i'm interested in local and regional events (eastern NC) from informational to show & competition and even non-prof stuff. i know i can google but i'm slow with internet research and want the 'skinny' from those who know best!

Now I'm not so sure I wanna post in this thread... I'd like to know what horse lovers and equestrians all these people have met...I think one of the best sites to find out information in this area is probably nchorsenews.com. They have a message board that one of the forums is show-related and there is even an event calendar. I think a majority of the people are more toward the Eastern end of the state.In the Triangle area, I love(d) showing at the James B. Hunt Horse complex, which you can look at their event schedule online.Once you find out about a horse show series, just get put on their mailing list and they'll assure that you get a prize list.Doesn't hurt to visit your local tack shops either. Sometimes prize lists will get left there or posted on a message board.
