Anybody know where to get a microphone for the iPod touch that supports the latest firmware?http://home.swipnet.se/ridax/touchmic.htm - This person sells them but not for firmware 2.0

^No, because see, then they couldn't sell you yet another $25 attachment that's worth $1 in parts.

what your TDK and Creative players don't have, though, is a developer's kit (and community of developers) that could turn that iTouch w/ microphone into something dangerously close to a VOIP iPhone. At least that's why I think it doesn't have a mic.edit: ^and there's the evidence.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 12:09 PM. Not to mention inputs that modern mp3 players lack. My creative Jukebox 3 from like 2001/2002 had an optical input so i could encode stuff directly to MP3. Plus it had 2 outputs for multi-channel stuff in addition to the headphone jack.

ive seen a couple of apps out there to make VoIP calls. youtube has a ton of videos showing different examples.
