I want to repaint my silver crown vic black. It needs some dents and scrapes repaired so I might as well repaint the whole thing. I can't decide between keeping the chrome trim on the front & back, or painting over it. I'm not too concerned about resale value since I'll probably keep it until it dies and then give it to charity. Here's a link to a comparison of black with chrome versus black without chrome.

I'll keep the chrome grille. Which way should I go? The chrome has a touch of class whereas the black trim is more sleek and ominous.

If you're going to leave the grille chrome, then leave the rest of the chrome be. Or do the whole car black, tint it, and put some black rims on it.

I think I'll keep the chrome trim. The black trim makes the car look a bit cheap, almost like a taxi.
