Interviewing for the Operations Analyst 2-year program for new grads in RTP...not sure on a specific area yet.

What is the culture like? Hours? Job security? Compensation and benefits?

Thanks

Yeah one of my friends here in NYC works for them. I dunno a lot about her job but sometimes she works long hours and on weekends. Oh, and she doesn't get any US holidays off (Swiss company), like the 4th of July for instance.

One of my best friends works there - I'd be inappropriate to give out details, but would say it'd be contingent on what others opportunities you have available to you.

Stable, yes.

That's about the only one of those I can really answer.

It's progressed to a possible offer soon. Anybody with potential salary info?

I've gotten a very good feel for all the work, environment, culture, etc and it all sounds plenty good enough....but no dollars and cents. Salary.com and Vault are tellin me numbers that I'm not quite sure are right.

SLANDER!

Just kidding, I used to work there (used it as a starting point and now work for another international investment bank in a completely separate capacity in NYC)

Great company (longer hours but you do get all the holidays off unless you work for the international side), I'd recommend it if you're looking to break into I-banking...I'd guess you can expect an opening salary of 35-45 plus a 2-10 bonus...they have back office jobs in Raleigh, namely Operations/IT/Accounting, but they are very willing to move people around within the Co.

Your questions:
Culture: it is faster paced because it's an I-bank, you deal with New Yorkers all day (mostly traders) so there's quite a bit of yelling/swearing...but you just have to shake it off andact like them
Hours: Depends on what you're doing, average is probably 45-55 hours/week
Job Security: Pretty good, the recent market downturn has wiped out a lot of jobs, so if your role is still there now, it's probably pretty safe
Comp: Probably between 37-50 all in, full benefits

Let me know if you have any other questions..
