I plan to upgrade to Leopard on my Powerbook G4, which currently has OS 10.3. I have a question:I know I have to re-install 3rd party programs after upgrading, but do I have to un-install my Adobe Creative Suite software before upgrading? I don't want some glitch in their system telling me my software is already installed on another machine. Anyone have experience with this? I'll call Adobe support later today but I'd like to read personal experiences.

I dunno, the support person at Apple said I'd have to re-install 3rd party programs, and the Adobe person said I should un-install CS and Aftereffects before upgrading the OS. I figure I'll follow their advice.

in the help menu, there should be an option to deauthorize your software.do this before you upgrade if you're really worried about it, although an upgrade shouldn't wipe that. it keeps app data in the library intact.also, i'd very highly recommend that you do a clean install of leopard instead of upgrading. your machine will run faster & you won't end up with mysterious problems after the upgrade.]
