the CGI does not turn me off too much.I think they were trying to fit all the tornado hunting lingo they could into a two hour movie...that can be silly at times.

7/17/2008 6:42:32 PM
The video quality on this movie is some of the worst I have ever seen.
7/17/2008 6:46:07 PM
wasn't it the first movie released on DVD?I still like it as well.
7/17/2008 7:43:46 PM
When it came out...everyone was like....WOOOAHHHH...ITS A FUCKING COW FLYING ACROSS THE ROAD
7/17/2008 7:46:58 PM
What ruined it for me was at the end when they strapped themselves onto a pipe and survived a massive tornado that could pick up trucks and turn houses into piles of rubble. That shit would have pulled every limb from their bodies

Whenever they're all joking at the table and and the lady asks if anyone had ever seen an F5and everyone goes silentlol

I love the hell out of this movie. The interactions between Paxton and Hunt are hilarious. I wish it had more science/weather nerdy stuff but I am sure my fellow weather peeps can find the subtle humor in the exchange about Bill being a weatherman. Also the ending credits are my favorite of any movie ever.

It was a really entertaining movie at the time, but I do have one complaint about this movie that I think my science teacher had a good point about. That was:Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Jesus Christ, Jo!Bill Paxton said the Lord's name in vain way too many times in that movie.I think the movie is still awesome for being one of the first over-the-top environmental disaster movies that wasn't quite as ridiculous as the ones to follow. I mean, we've gone from Twister to fucking The Day After Tomorrow. If you follow along in between you'll notice the environmental disaster movies getting ever so slightly more and more ridiculous and outrageous (slowly declining in quality too).
