worth a thread or no?

I started the 3rd of Charlie Huston's Hank Thomspon trilogy last night, A Dangerous Man

After that I'm gonna read the 5th and 6th books of Ken Bruen's Jack Taylor series.

Anyone up here read Michael Connelly, George Pelecanos, Dennis Lehane, Richard Price, Westlake/Stark, and so on?

Or the funny stuff like Tim Dorsey and Carl Hiassen?

In all seriousness, I tried one of Hiaasen's novels and didn't think it was that funny. Felt like he was trying too hard...that's just me, though.
