I was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost to replace the electronics inside of a lexus key.

$florida.

it depends....I did this a few weeks ago on my is300. The entire key cost me 160 with internals and cut. I believe the chipset itself is $60 or so as long as you have another full key you have to reprogram it. If you don't have a backup, you need to go the sealership.

$160 seems cheap for the electronics and the cut. I paid a lot more than that iirc

On our GX470, the shell of the key cracks and opens up, and they quoted us $300 for each key...Super Glue about once a year ftw

btw you got this done at the dealership?

Not for that cheap. Ace hardware does this now, at least certain stores do. Lexus dealership will be $$$$$

The one by my house does everything now, but since they are a franchise, they may not do it everywhere.
