The Dude is beginning to lose his beautiful locks Anyone here have any success with hair growth products?I've been looking around the internet and Provillus seems to be getting a lot of good reviews.

i used nioxin once....it doesnt really grow it back as much as it just keeps it from thinning...you got to get 3 different steps(i only got the first 2)overall its an obvious waste of money and cheating nature is gay...embrace it rather than trying to stop it]
7/6/2008 11:51:54 AM
embrace it
7/6/2008 12:01:50 PM
if i had more facial hair thats what i'd do
7/6/2008 12:03:24 PM
I'm not ready to embrace itI'm only 22Maybe in another 5 years
7/6/2008 12:07:17 PM
post a pic of how bad you are thinning/baldingseriously bro...its probably not that bad...it makes you look metrosexual-ish to worry about your hair that much[Edited on July 6, 2008 at 12:09 PM. Reason : thats why i just shave mine with a 2/3 guard every month or 2]
7/6/2008 12:09:16 PM
it's not that bad yet but I know it'll be bad in another few yearsI'm just trying to keep what I have and not lose much more
7/6/2008 12:28:28 PM
yea i think that's primarily what all those products do. i read a little about rogaine one time bc a friend was going bald and it said it'd do pretty good to maintain what youalready have. i also read that it makes your hair like a nasty almost greasy feeling all the time and some ppl said they'd rather be balled than greasy all the timeluckily i got the "never gonna lose any hair on my head" genes
7/6/2008 12:49:58 PM
7/6/2008 1:10:11 PM
nioxin definitely makes your hair feel more greasy and slick...i almost kinda thought my hair felt less full with it than without it

Propeciait blocks the DHT which is why most people lose their hair. If you start early, the better the results will be.
7/6/2008 7:04:42 PM
i've heard propecia has sexual side effects...
7/6/2008 7:11:46 PM
yeah, it does according to their site. possibility of decrease in libdo and sperm. however, you can take viagra or cialis for the libdo. I think it would be worth it.
7/6/2008 7:14:55 PM
viagra and cialis just give you a raging boner.. they dont actually make you want to do it necessarily
7/6/2008 7:53:48 PM
accept it.

5-alpha reductase inhibitors will only keep your hair from thinning out even more; it does nothing to cause hair to regrow. The reason most of the products on the market seem like a waste of money is because they don't combine 5-alpha reductase inhibitors with minoxodil.Neither of these drugs are scheduled by the DEA, so you could try to find them on the gray market or order them directly from a compounding company in order to save some money.

Im like the dude. Im turning 24 this week and have been slowly thinning for a while. You cant really tell when its dry, but if its wet or I lift some, you can see. Ive heard from a lot of people that scalp massages are the shit. Like twice a week Ill really dig my fingers into my skull for 5-6 minutes in the shower with my shampoo. Also, Ive heard taking Biotin (b vitamin, b-7 i think?) is supposed to help for some. Never taken.Ive talked to people who have been on propecia and one guy said it was great and that the other side effect was a slightly lower sex drive. The other guy hated it from sexual side effects and went off.For shampoo, I just use that basic over the counter 'Vive for Men' for thinning/fine hair shampoo. You know, the one with that stupid basketball head commercial.
7/7/2008 1:19:31 AM
ive been losing it for awhile and I turn 24 this year i never tried propecia though...maybe I should have.
7/7/2008 1:28:44 AM
yeah, the propecia is win. even if you're thinning now, and thinking it won't be that bad in the late 20s, still when you hit late 20s you'll be like "damn, I wish I had done something back in the day".
7/7/2008 1:20:29 PM
i already wish that it could be worse I guess but its extremely noticeable now and I've never liked keeping my hair that short either so double frown. how much is that with prescription?
7/7/2008 1:21:45 PM
if I remember correctly I pay about 70-80 bucks/per month. there is a generic version, but I don't think its as baller as the real deal, so I don't mind paying for that. it does take time to notice benefits though.

Based on the nyt article the other day i paid 65 to some website to have a doctor prescribe me oral minoxidil 2.5mg pills. Prescription was $5, got 60 pills. No refills, hope i don’t have to pay 65 per online prescription or i’ll have to figure out a less costly way. Didn’t feel like going in person just to be like yeah “give me a prescription to minoxidil”. Copay for that was 30, figured worth $35 extra to have the prescription in 15 minutes

3/19/2023 8:01:20 PM
Minoxidil plus retinoid?
3/20/2023 7:57:33 PM
Not sure what a retinoid is, but seems like a small stack for hairloss
3/22/2023 12:23:53 AM
I'm not hip on the drug lingo. What's a stack?
3/22/2023 6:48:10 PM
Stack is like what a person takes to fight hairloss
3/23/2023 2:06:43 AM
It's multiple burger patties
3/24/2023 7:37:07 PM
I take a daily multivitamin supplement, and most likely that's a total waste.
3/24/2023 7:51:07 PM
eg my bodybuilding stack is:800mg Sustanon600mg Equipoise50mg anadrol
3/27/2023 12:00:02 PM

The first few weeks i had heart pain from minoxidil. And the pecker thing
3/30/2023 11:03:14 PM
