I figured it was about time to start up the new season to get offseason transfers and injury talks going. Also to discuss which players did well during the Euros and may get more illustrious moves afterwards(ahem Russian players). The first game this year will be the Charity Shield placing EPL winners Man Utd vs FA Cup winners Portsmouth. The first games of the season are as follow:

In my ongoing effort to get more into soccer, I'm going to become a fan of an EPL team. I don't want to just hop on a bandwagon (ManU or Chelsea) or a pick a team that sucks, so any suggestions for a good team to pull for?
6/26/2008 2:26:05 PM
Everton. pull for our american goalkeeper Tim Howard and his team.some people on this site like to root for Fulham too because of a strong american contingent, but they barely stayed in the EPL last season, so they might not be great this season[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 2:37 PM. Reason : f]

Newcastle. They are like NC State. They never win anything or relevance.I'm a West Ham fan... They have an American...[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 2:37 PM. Reason : x]

haha yea if you want to be disappointed every season pull for newcastle...but i think nc state is enough nc state for anybody i believe everton finished 5th last season, behind the big 4...if not 5th, then it was 6th, but i seem to remember aston villa finishing 6th...on that note, Aston Villa is a good team to pull for too, they have a bright offensive future ahead of them unless they lose agbonlahor and young in transfer moves.[Edited on June 26, 2008 at 2:41 PM. Who ends up with Arshavin?
6/26/2008 2:58:39 PM
doubtful he goes to the epl, i would guess an italian team
6/26/2008 3:01:36 PM
Probably Italy or Spain; Arsenal at least has expressed interest.
6/26/2008 3:04:44 PM
lol arsenal? they already have several people on that team who play that position arshavin does

6/26/2008 3:21:30 PM
Arsenal's getting Crouchaldinho anyways, they don't need anybody else
6/26/2008 3:23:02 PM

6/26/2008 9:54:31 PM
Keep me posted on the fantasy epl. I'd be interested in joining if you get it together.Oh yeah, if you are looking for a team to support...Liverpool is the way to go. YNWA

6/26/2008 10:05:02 PM
that dude who was in first the entire time..."quinn" or something of the like
6/26/2008 10:05:42 PM
i was in the lead for most of the winter actually...but then i got tired of checkin it all the time...so he prob passed me in the spring
6/26/2008 10:06:49 PM
(Im a liverpool fan)I would love if the spurs dropped 15 on Crouch and Yossi -- that way we can move on David SilvaIt looks like Alonso will sell for 15 to Juve -- seal the deal on BarryI think Arshavin will end up at Barca...but not for 20 like DailyMail suggests. He went MIA tonight
6/27/2008 12:06:03 AM
the spurs are going after benayoun and crouch? they would have to be retarded to buy them. They already have 3 starting strikers (keane, bent, berbatov) and about 200 good midfielders (dos santos, jenas, lennon, huddlestone, malbranque.) They need to buy good players on defense for once.
6/27/2008 12:46:27 AM
I would do a fantasy count me in
6/27/2008 12:55:23 AM
I would probably start the season if there was one. Doubt I would keep up with it though.
6/27/2008 1:01:28 AM
NEWCASTLE!but yes, we're exactly like NC State in almost every facet.

GO ARSENAL!
6/27/2008 10:32:02 AM
^^ LOLI don't even care anymore. If the ridiculous transfer numbers that have been tossed around are legit, then let him go.
6/27/2008 10:35:58 AM
LIVERPOOL......but as long as you don't support the scum that is ManU then you're alrightYNWA

6/27/2008 1:04:23 PM

6/27/2008 2:31:04 PM

6/27/2008 4:15:43 PM

6/27/2008 4:16:41 PM
Muffin: All right, don't anybody move. There's been a murder.Mother: A murder?Muffin: No, no, not a murder...no, what's like a murder only begins with B?Son: Birmingham.Muffin: No ... no ... no ... no ... no...Doctor: Burnley?Muffin: Burnley - that's right! So Burnley was going to play the Railhawks first team, but their schedule was full, so the U-23 team is playing them instead. Here is a photo of the holder my dad helped me make for my 1930 FIFA World Cup collectors medals. Both medals are the same, so it's displaying a different side on each. The one on the right is a picture of the stadium and the one on the left says "A.U. DE F, 1ER CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE FOOTBALL MONTEVIDEO 1930." The holder is made out of black walnut wood and I went to Things Remembered at Cary Town Center to have that engraving done at the bottom. It's a stick on that says "1930 FIFA World Cup."[Edited on June 27, 2008 at 11:12 PM. Reason : .]

Arshavin is valued at 24 million Euros. My transfer predictions:Adebayor is goin to Milan (bet on it)Drogba is going back to Olympique MarseilleBerbatov is goin nowhereKlaas Jan Huntelaar is coming to Old Trafford Lampard to InterHleb to Barca (good as gone already)CR7 - nowhereArshavin to ChelseaRonaldinho ends up at Manchester City, since Milan cant afford him and DrogbaGareth Barry will get frozen out at Villa, but you wont see him at LiverpoolBentley to SpursObefemi Martins to Arsenal as soon as Adebayor's gone
7/11/2008 12:01:21 AM
I think Barry will end up at Pooland hopefully Keane will be joining him
7/11/2008 12:02:38 AM
I hope Adebayor stays, it would really screw up my all black Premier League soccer team.
