naw man if you use an impact hammer like this, the phillips head is no problem.

I've done probably 100 brake jobs on hondas and have only had maybe 1 or 2 give me a problem.

get a lifetime warrantee phillips head, and get a vise grip around the metal shaft... kinda like the impact screw driver, put some pressure on it (like youre loosening it) and hit it with the hammer.

we did this all day at work after our impact driver broke.

works very well.

Hey guys, thanks for the input. Between PB blaster, some whacking with a ball peen, a long phillips head + locking adjustable wrench + dead blow hammer, I still only got half out without risking stripping them. Just put the wheels back on and I'm going to limp it over to the hw store to get an impact driver. Looks like a must-have.

It's late so no need to borrow one at this point, but I'll still give you a beer for your effort. I was invited to Buckhead tomorrow night so if you spot me in a red Cookout T-shirt just say you're from the internet and I'll get you one on me.
