Dana was fucking pissed

good fucking episode last night. CB and Tim had a war going on

CB-Amir II should be excellent. I'm hoping for the same result

really good season, the only thing I really hated was that Riddle had to fight Tim in the first round. He looks like a really good fighter, but he wasn't trained well enough to go against a black belt in ju-jitsu

Dana acted all outraged (and to be sure, Jesse acted like a fucking idiot), but you know he was loving it. Not only did he get to hype this ending all season, but he gets who he wanted in the finale instead of boring ass jesse who will muscle someone to the ground and then lay and pray. Both Amir and CB and more exciting fighters.

I like how it was a 90 minute supersized episode and they say there was one of the best fights in the history of TUF and all they did was show clips of it. I would have loved to at least seen the 1st round of Tim vs, C.B.

I'm not a big C.B. fan, I hope Amir whoops his ass in the final, but I'm guessing that won't happen.

fuck CB dolloway that armbar was beautiful....and hes still all smug about it like "well i didnt think ed get it so i left my arm in there and let him get it" hell get beat even worse

and why is it that when CB gets kicked he always falls down...it doesnt matter his scramblin and wrestlign is phenomenal but he noticeably gasses

amir was my horse the whole season im upset that he has to fight CB again...

im lookin forward...believe it or not...to marvin eastman and drew mcfedries....thats gonna be an amazing fight and a garaunteed KO finish

also lookin forward to Diego getting a GnP stoppage, Evan tanner should destroy grove

jesse taylor was a freakin idiot...i liked the guy too but danas right hes not mentally ready im glad dana didnt totally close the door on him but definitely took the oportunity away that hed earned

the best quote from the show was when amir had said "if you lined up these 4 guys and told me i had 6 weeks to fight , Gerald harris, matt brown, and CB dolloway and beat em all...id tell you..NOPE"

thats a cool dude right there and he definitely had a rough road to the finals all of those fights were brutal

i didnt pick Amir to beat any of them and that kid has a huge heart and he is tough as freaking nails. lots of respect goes out to Amir.

Quote :

that shit was money. i was really waiting for a triangle choke...it seemed like he was about in position through out that whole first match to lock him up in it. when he put that armbar on CB i was thinking to myself...."thats deep, its over"

Amir is funny as hell.

The best quote was in the preview for the finale.

From Amir
Quote :
"This fight only legitimizes everything I have been doing my entire life. "

Then immediately follows that with a classic dont give a shit teenage tone.

Quote :
" Ya know whatever"

I was clapping and yelling "HE GOT IT!" when he got that arm bar.

And what the fuck is up with Jesse. When hes sober he seems real grounded, and dumb. But at least grounded. Guy doesnt think at all. BUT he is a physical freak. All that shit he did during the series is crazy. HE LOST 2 POUNDS PLAYING PING PONG! and he eats whatever he wants.

I like Rampage, but I don't really like CB. He has decent standup and he's good at takedowns. But that's about it.

Reasons why I think CB won't win in the finale:

1) He doesn't have much endurance. He gases out in the 2nd round.
2) He's too cocky about his skills. And gets himself caught in easy arm bars. I predict another armbar.
3) His upper lip annoys me.

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am at Dana's righteous indignation over the whole incident with Jesse. The production staff basically encourages these dudes to act like animals, getting smashed and then tearing the house up throughout filming every season. When they carry that behavior out of the house all of a sudden it's the most horrible thing he has ever seen.

That shit probably happens every weekend with NFL players, but nobody gets kicked out of the league. Don't get me wrong, Jesse is dumb as hell for what he did, and perhaps he deserves to lose his spot in the finale, but Dana White is a tool for (among lots of other things) using this kid's mistakes for higher ratings on his show. By all other accounts, Jesse was a nice guy who got along with everyone in the house. If anyone represents the UFC bad, it's that unbelievable moron Jeremy May.

There is a difference between breaking something in the house, and breaking something in the real world.

If you cant recognize that, then I would want you working for me either.

to be fair to CB, i think he was onto something about mentioning that he felt like he could leave his arm there...he was doin it the whole fight

unfortunately all it takes is one mistake, think about how Jesse Taylor left his head and one arm in tim crodeurs guard for most of their fight and ow many triangle attempts tim tried and jesse escaped em all

the difference between jesses fight and CB's is that Jesse didnt make a mistake or misjudge throught the entire fight and CB made that mistake late in the third and paid v.s. a prepared fighter

i think you missed the part about jesse going into the hotel, harassing female patrons, and when security came to escort him out his screams of "IM FAMOUS, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?? IM AN ULTIMATE FIGHTER IM IN THE UFC"

that moreso than breaking a window out is what pissed dana off...but breaking shit in public doesnt make dana happy

basically, the IM A UFC FIGHTER shit did him in

^^^break shit/act like a lunatic after getting drunk in the house on national tv = "OK by me. In fact, we encourage it because it means better ratings for our TV show."

break shit/act like a lunatic after getting drunk in front of a handful of hotel patrons and on a security camera = "OMF YOU ARE A LUNATIC AND OUT OF THE UFC"

Frankly, I think both cases paint the UFC in a terrible light and neither help to stymie the reputation of fighters being a bunch of meatheaded apes who can't control themselves. Acting like a fool is acting like a fool no matter the setting and it's hard to argue that the house isn't very much 'out in public' as millions of viewers tune in to watch the antics.

^^ I hear that, but these guys call themselves UFC fighters on fucking national TV every week and then proceed to piss themselves and act like goddamn idiots.

Seriously, which is more "embarrassing for the organization"? I mean I wouldn't have minded as much if there was a quiet announcement that one of the fighters in the finale had to replaced because of an minor incident in a vegas hotel. But to come out and make a huge production like " Hey guys, this guy acted like a drunken ape (which he did, I'm not arguing that), WE SURE DON'T SUPPORT THAT KIND OF BEHAVIOR!!"

It's just Dana being a giant hypocrite.

no he didnt

he used it to show that these people cant act like assholes in public

dana white didnt set this up, jesse taylor fucked up and he has no one else to blame but himself and dana showed tremendous mercy

think about how jesse couldnt say SHIT about what happened until basically last night after the show finished airing...imagine like all his friends congratulating him for making finals last week and jesse knows he cant say shit about the incident until the finale show airs

thats plenty of punishment, i think it was a good move by dana to do that

^well yea, its a house the UFC owns...you try training six weeks in a house full of strangers with highly restricted diets and shit. the show is edited heavily so it seems like the PARTY EVERY EPISODE

but that shit is usually after weighins and fuck once youre "free" you wanna cut lose man and with alcohol in the house u damn right...dana doesnt care about shit bein broke theyve got damages in their budget im sure

i dont see how this is an arguable point just because you walk around nekkid ass in your livingroom dont mean u can get the newspaper at 7am with your junk hangin...

^ sure he did. You didnt watch the episode a couple weeks ago if you think he didn't. The fighters going apeshit and acting a fool, though, isn't even new to this season. They do it every season and are encouraged to drink and be destructive by the producers.

i doubt it, im pretty sure dana wanted a fresh fight for the finale

which is why CB had to fight crodeur instead of just givin it to CB

why is it hard for you to feel like dana can be outraged at that behavior? i mean just think of it as dollars and cents...hes tryna get MMA sanctioned all over states soo bullshit like jesse taylor and say "i dont want these thugs in our state fighting, hell no we dont want your business"

dana isnt a very upstanding gentleman but he can damn right be outraged at that behavior for more than just money reasons, hell id be personally offended if one of my contracted athletes tried to use my organization as a trump card to be a hoodlum and molest women

or do you just disagree witht he concept of morality all together?

He is trying to educate America with this show.

Having some fucktard like Jesse ruin the image and then Dana kicks him out shows what the UFC stands for.

But this final fight is better I think. Because it is a revenge fight.

Let's be clear. I think Jesse is a fucking idiot prone to insane roid rage episodes. He should absolutely be kicked off the finale. I also love the show and the sport and think fighters are some of the best athletes on the planet. I just disagree with the way Dana went about kicking him off. He did it in a way to manipulate better ratings.

Quote :
"He is trying to educate America with this show. "

Educate America about what, exactly? That all fighters aren't a bunch of destructive meatheads prone to making idiotic decisions? Sorry, he has already lost that. Every Season of TUF has the fighters running around the house drunk as hell breaking shit-- at the encouragement of producers.

Dana has lost any moral highground when he has a show that basically allows viewers to see, on a regular basis, the exact opposite of what Dana is trying to educate the masses about.

i dont look at him and see a guy on steroids some guys just have a good base and top control and *gasp* have explosive personalities

^^i think theres nothing wrong with them enjoyin themselves everyone else in america does i dont think thats the issue dana is worried about

this season was cool cuz there was a lot less bullshit than the other seasons, and legitamate beefs were squashed pretty quickly, i expect a few drunkfests now and then...just glad no one peed on another fighters fight gear just cuz said fighter rubs their gloves on his balls

im pretty sure anderson silva and GSP go around busting out limo windows and touchin on hoes

Every time they showed that clip of the window getting kicked out on the commercials they would say something like "Which UFC fighter gets kicked off the show before the finals?" and try to drama it up. Is there anyone out there that didn't already know it was going to be JT? I knew JT was going to win his semifinal fight because they showed that commercial and it pretty much told me he was in the finals. I wish I had bet some cash on it now that I think about it.

It sucks because I think JT and Amir would have been a good fight. CB might have that great wrestling background, but JT has brute strength to get out of holds and stay on top of his opponents. I think JT versus Amir would have been a lot like CB versus Amir, but with JT coming out on top.

Amir needs to stop running in just because he knocks someone off their balance. It just ends up with him getting taken down. When he knocked down CB all those times he would have been better off to let him back up than to rush in and get taken down. I was impressed with his ability to keep guard and deflect nearly every punch/elbow that CB threw at him from the top. He needs to work a little more on getting out and getting up though. I'm sure they'll watch the tapes and work on that a lot between the semifinals and the finals fight.

I do feel bad for JT. He did really well and he is a freak of nature to be able to get hammered one night and get up the next day to win a professional fight. He should know from previous seasons that anything that makes UFC look like bad won't be tolerated. Still, I wonder if they shouldn't have coached the fighters on how to act. Maybe the future coaches will sit down with the fighters and tell them what not to do if they want a career in the UFC.

i grew up with a guy JUST like jesse. he's a beast and a REALLY nice guy, but when he drinks, he turns into a madman. it was sad how much this episode reminded me of that.

i play in some division a softball leagues with matt brown's cousin. evidently he's a cool, down to earth guy and i thought he would be one of the final four...but i was wrong.

The season was awesome overall, although rampage and forest both suck as coaches. Jesse is a fucking idiot for acting the way he did. Amir vs CB is a much better fight anyway. Besides, if CB happens to win, they will have the opportunity to hype some 3rd fight between the two in the future as a best 2 out of 3.

nahman that wasnt necessarily true

they said "the finale" and at every finale most of the cast fights on the card somewhere it could have been anyone in the house since we didnt know the fight card at that time

i think a guy i train with taught me the uchi mata

it was the only judo throw hes taught us so far

hes one of those guys that wont call anything the american term for it

like he wont call a Rear naked choke a rear naked choke he HAS to call it Mata leon and he tries hard to give his best portugeuse accent lol

thats why i cant remember if it was the uchi mata we learned but i remember the techniquee i use it alot now

haha yea WAR Tanner!

^^ Well, I can get that because 'uchi mata' translates to 'inner thigh' in English. Dr. Kano's names make sense in Japanese, not so much translated straight into English.
And, huh, what language does the guy speak? For Judo, the rear naked choke is 'hadake jime'.

hes an american light skinned black dude with freckles

but he has a gi judo and gi BJJ background so he uses the traditional names for both disciplines i guess i dont think he did judo waza (i think thats the name for groundfighting in judo) but instead relies on BJJ and uses judo almost solely for takedowns he doesnt have much of a wrestling background and considers pulling guard "a bitch move for pussies" lol

im all like "i aint got time for all dat"

^^ Rofl. Hey, I used to be like that about the guard, too, until I learned this little thing called the butterfly guard, which I now regularly use to piss off everybody I work with in my judo class. My core has gotten so much stronger now that I actually figured out what I'm doing with that.
There's a lot of "pick-and-choose" training going on for MMA, and, yeah, people come to judo for takedowns. I get it, and I'm happy to teach people I know aren't going to use a single thing for judo competition, but I definitely don't think that my many years of judo training were wasted at all. Tara definitely gets by with having the best throws out of any MMA fighter I've seen.
