Can't say I'm surprised

NOW the hockey ass kissers can say that nobody watches golf. lolzr.
6/18/2008 11:49:26 AM
Probably in his best interest. Still, it's like taking Dale Earnhardt Jr. out of a Nascar race -- a lot of casual viewers are going to lose interest.
6/18/2008 11:51:35 AM
Phil better seize this opportunity and win at least one of the British or PGAif not both
6/18/2008 11:51:55 AM
It was posted in the U.S. Open thread before here.....Golfers have injuries like any other people and athletes...no real surprise as this is good for him in the long run although he will miss 2 majors.
6/18/2008 11:52:08 AM
the entire rest of the PGA is like "yesssssssssssssssss"
6/18/2008 11:55:12 AM
I can see the headlines"Furyk beats Goosen in playoff to win PGA; lowest ratings in 26 years"[Edited on June 18, 2008 at 11:57 AM. Reason : x]

btw I like Hunter Mahan this weekend...also don't sleep on Brad Faxon if he enters
6/18/2008 12:00:56 PM
So here's the general take:-No reason to watch golf the rest of the year.-The Europeans are going to even more destroy the U.S. in the Ryder Cup.
6/18/2008 12:36:55 PM
meh...he's never been good in the Ryder anyway]
6/18/2008 12:41:45 PM
torn acl since last july? and a stress fracture?
6/18/2008 12:54:54 PM
yea, that's my favorite part of the article
6/18/2008 1:05:23 PM
finally some white or that indian dude will win. Phil Mickelson better get his ass in gear while he can, he'll be carrying all the headlines now I suppose
6/18/2008 1:42:06 PM
Tiger being out will definitely level the playing field and I bet we'll see many more first time winners, but...whoever wins the remaining majors and the FedEx Cup this year will be remembered as the guy who won it when Tiger wasn't playing
6/18/2008 2:21:31 PM
Anthony Kim will ball the fuck outVijay can't putt, Mickelson is overrated as fuck, Sergio and others arent good enough to even mention
6/18/2008 2:22:51 PM
Anthony Kim is going to compete in Majors on a regular basis very soonPrime chance for him now to make a name for himself at one this year
6/18/2008 2:24:09 PM
i do honestly think that all the other golfers will be the first to acknowledge the reason they will win events is because tiger isnt there...what did garcia say a few weeks ago when he won? something like "First of all I'd like to thank Tiger Woods for not being here"
6/18/2008 2:25:30 PM
My gf and I were in Charlotte at the Wachovia this year - A Kim has got a suhweet swing...and he didn't choke. I agree with ^ and ^^'s assessments
6/18/2008 2:25:39 PM
Good, now the announcers will have to find somethin else to talk about besides tigger. Thats all they talk about even when he isn't playin. I can't stand tigger.
6/18/2008 2:42:25 PM
Nope, they'll still talk about Tiger the whole time. Just wait.
6/18/2008 4:07:13 PM
They'll be like "wow these guys really suck, they're nowhere near as good as Tiger, not even close"
6/18/2008 4:15:54 PM
If he doesn't change his swing he wont play golf for 5 more seasons. No reason to put that much strain on the leg. Actually, I take that back....all he has to do is start hitting balls on the course like he does on the range. If you've ever seen him practice, he has the smoothest swing on tour. Put a driver in his hand, he turns into happy gilmore. wtf tiger.
6/18/2008 5:33:44 PM
^ Yeah, you're right. If he stays out, he better stay out long enough for it to heal fully with no chance of coming back, otherwise it's going to be on those niggling injuries that sticks around forever considering how he plays.By the way, "Tiger" has become a sport subheading on the ESPN Ticker.
6/18/2008 7:20:52 PM
that's really starting to annoy me the way they do thatsame thing with LA-BOS and just about every other subject they have that they make a category for.
6/18/2008 7:32:00 PM
