Sp!ed: 2010 NSXSo finally, the new body type has been spotted... apparently the designers were able to agree on the styling.http://www.leftlanenews.com/acura-nsx.htmlhttp://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/17/spy-shots-acura-nsx-hits-the-streets/http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080617.009/new-honda-nsx-prototype-comes-out-to-play

6/17/2008 7:25:12 PM
Anyone else noticing the striking similarity in volume/symmetry between this, the GT-R and the new 350Z's?
6/17/2008 7:56:06 PM
looks like an S2000 and 350Z mixed to me
6/17/2008 8:28:06 PM
I was like damn thats a nissan w/ a sick paint job....not impressed
6/17/2008 8:28:12 PM
man, o' man. i got some cash laying around too.
6/17/2008 9:52:15 PM
complete waste of R&DI feel like they let their ego's dictate their direction. Nobody buys 100k cars.
6/17/2008 11:26:28 PM
It's not likely the NSX successor. It would be unprecedented to have a vehicle developed that far along when the prototype is 16 months away from being officially revealed and 2 years from being in showrooms. There was rumor a few years back about a smaller, cheaper Corvette-fighter under the NSX. Looking at the small proportions, it doesn't look like there is enough room for the anticipated 5.5L V10 under the hood, so this is probably a smaller model with a V8.
6/17/2008 11:31:41 PM
if there is room for a twin turbo 6 litre V12 under a C-Class' hood (Brabus Bullitt), then there is room for a 5 litre V10 under that hood.but yeah, it could be anything.

6/17/2008 11:54:08 PM
lame, looks like a 350z
6/18/2008 12:07:04 AM
I'm pretty sure Acura's developing a luxury 2dr coupe derived from the S2000's platform. Thats probably what this is.
6/18/2008 12:36:22 AM
hey OEP when are you going to stop daydreaming like a 12 year old and make us a thread about YOUR car/scooter/bike/camel/etc.?
6/18/2008 2:01:58 AM
uncle buffet just bought like 10 of these[Edited on June 18, 2008 at 2:06 AM. Reason : ^wow that seems kinda rude if you ask me]
6/18/2008 2:06:01 AM
Am i the only one that sees BMW M6 written all over this thing ?
6/18/2008 8:35:39 AM
^ no, i definitely see it in the rear end...
6/18/2008 10:34:05 AM
http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-message?message%5fid=768522About 2/3 down there is a comparison to an Accord coupe that provides a sense of scale. If it is the NSX replacement, it will be very small. Hopefully it is, because that would help counteract the AWD, and probably make for one of the lighter supercars currently out.
6/18/2008 2:31:44 PM
looks like a honda to mei may be biased though
6/19/2008 12:03:53 AM
this thing better outhandle the GT-R
6/19/2008 12:15:44 AM
cool paint job too.
6/19/2008 5:06:33 AM
Godawful paint job for anyone who's not twelve years old, but I'm excited to see what the end product will be. The NSX is one of the few foreign models I follow.
6/19/2008 10:53:10 PM
^you do realize that the paint job is intentional camouflage to deceive the eye of the true shape.
6/19/2008 11:04:22 PM
^^You are like the 3rd or 4th one to say something about the "paintjob".I pray to God none of you is stupid enough to believe that's a "paintjob".
6/20/2008 3:28:49 AM
The war has begun...http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/19/nsx-laps-ring-unofficially-at-7-37/NSX laps 'Ring unofficially at 7:37
6/20/2008 11:17:06 AM
yes honda's factory car will be faster but as with all their other cars it will be precision engineered rather than over built thus further modification such as forced induction will usually result in catastrophic failure.
6/20/2008 11:24:03 AM
^doesnt it always?
6/20/2008 11:27:05 AM
^ no, just when you fuck with shit and don't know what the hell you're doing
6/20/2008 12:35:05 PM
^^^eh??? Most of their performance engines of the 90s/early 00s were overengineered, i.e. B series, H series. Forged cranks that can handle 500hp are precision engineered?![Edited on June 20, 2008 at 1:52 PM. Reason : dammit I do sound like a Honda fanboy]
6/20/2008 1:51:32 PM
I can't think of any Honda motor that could make 500hp w/out significant internal work. The fact that the crankshaft +block can stand X amount of power doesn't mean much. GM has pushed their ecotech motors to some insane power (600+ I want to say) without touching the crank. If you want to talk about overbuilt, look at Porsche turbo motors from the 70s all the way to today, or BMW inline 6s that can push 500hp + without any internal work, down to the cams and pistons.Ahmet
6/20/2008 3:55:49 PM
^^ rods pistons and blocks need to be beefed up in most 500hp civics... cranks don't cost much to make hold power once you've already spent the money to spin them to 7k
6/20/2008 4:05:10 PM
I'm pretty sure a lot of other parts can stand up too, but I don't have the resources around to check. Nor am I confident enough to speak without checking them. Could very well be wrong too >.<
6/20/2008 5:06:58 PM
video... with engine sound!http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/video-2010-acura-nsx-the-ring-enough-said/

6/20/2008 9:10:57 PM
that shit was rollinlotsa shiftin mid-corner though
6/21/2008 12:45:04 AM
I think it should look more outlandish ala the old nsx's.
6/21/2008 10:38:23 AM
nice. sounds like my civic...on a good day.
6/21/2008 1:30:21 PM
Yeah, the old nsx definitely looked better
6/21/2008 11:07:02 PM
Pendulum effect. that one looked good but could get beat by a fucking ss camaro even on track cause it was soo slow to accelerate. This one may be fugly but its gonna be fast.
6/21/2008 11:41:28 PM
^so a Camaro SS with 30 extra hp and 400lbs of weight is faster than an NSX on a track???
6/22/2008 12:23:34 AM
LOL
6/22/2008 12:35:17 AM
Not really but i read an article and it was within a second (ls1 ss) around a track and it was talking about if the nsx was actually worth 96k .... no... no it wasn't
