http://www.youhide.comhttp://tinyurl.com/5tu7w5 <-- Go to section 4.5.1 and try the different CGI proxies listed there. If they're all out of date, try going to the root website and see if it's been updated since google stored a copy of it. Your IT department will be able to see from your URL's that you're going to a CGI proxy website, but they won't be able to tell what you're really doing (especially if you pick one of those proxies that encrypts the address you're going to so the address reads as http://www.proxy.com/LDKJ9879EOI or something). If your company has a policy on using proxy services to bypass internet security, you could very well get yourself reprimanded or even fired.Generally, the thing to do at work when they block websites and such is to simply go back to just doing work. You're less likely to get fired that way.

if vnc server is on your system tray IT can see your screen can't they??????
6/17/2008 8:04:15 PM
^yepjust go disable the service though
6/17/2008 8:38:46 PM
When I first started my company monitored us that way. They weren't smart enough to disable the damn pointer though. Was incredibly annoying the one & only time I left VNC running.I've never worke at a place that restricted your internet use but I've always thought of it as good practice to do all my browsing through remote desktop[Edited on June 17, 2008 at 8:52 PM. NCSU's VCL is works pretty well

If you're using the VCL just to bypass the internet filters at work, you need to be beat to death.
