asian market in cary
6/11/2008 9:06:50 PM
Fresh market at Cameron Village. They have EVERYTHING.
6/11/2008 9:08:12 PM
Between Fresh Market and Whole Foods, you'll pretty much be able to find anything you want. the Asian markets can be good sometimes, but you have to catch them on the right day....sometimes their fish is less than desireable

I've gotten bad seafood from Whole Foods before, Harris Teeter can be okay, but I love Grand Asian Market.
6/12/2008 1:21:59 AM

6/12/2008 1:50:45 AM

6/12/2008 1:55:43 AM
^^ Yeah, I think its called Earps seafood. They have very fresh and cheap fish and shrimp and all that jazz. its the only place my mom will go to get fresh jumbo shrimp.
6/12/2008 7:21:28 AM

man, I wanna have an oyster roast so bad now
6/12/2008 12:48:02 PM
Honestly, as pathetic as it sounds, I've found that K-Mart in Garner on 401 actually has a decent selection. Not exactly sure what you need, but has a decent sundry.
6/12/2008 9:22:24 PM
^^^Capital SeafoodThey have pretty good stuff, but their selection and quantity on hand is usually pretty limited
6/12/2008 10:38:51 PM
For good fish, scallops, shrimp, octopus, clams, etc. at a good price I go to:Grand Asia Market1253 Buck Jones RdRaleigh, NC 27606 Map(It's really in Cary, as everyone else said.)For premium cuts of meat I go to Whole Foods or Fresh Market. And on the weekends there are some folks at the Lake Gaston Flea Market that sell seafood out of a truck.
6/12/2008 11:36:15 PM
Grand Asian, or the one that's on Chatham (don't know the name). They may be strictly commercial though.

I want to try buying/preparing my own sashimi. Would any of these places, and which of them, have sashimi grade fish?
6/16/2008 9:11:43 PM
heh, I wouldn't trust any of it unless it says sashimi grade. As far as I know, the only places I've seen sashimi grade anything have been Harris Teeter and Whole Foods.

Ask colter, he knows all things seafood.
6/16/2008 10:03:33 PM
^^^^^ its called the seafood depot , I think. I went there a couple times for crabs and fish. Its ok. My parents go there a lot for fish.
