Uh obviously you didn't listen to McCain's speech Tuesday night. Obama is the special interest candidate he is controlled by the PACs and federal lobbyists. This is a lie and nonsense.
6/5/2008 3:49:14 PM
there wouldnt be as many lobbyists and PACs if there wasnt as much big government for them to lobby for or against
6/5/2008 3:49:54 PM
if we got rid of cars they couldn't get to washington to bribe them
6/5/2008 3:53:31 PM
Size doesn't matter. They wouldn't invest money in politics if it didn't pay off.

You kids sure are gullible."Obama's ban on lobbyists money is not ironclad. He does accept money from lobbyists who do not do business with the federal government and he also accepts money from spouses and family members of lobbyists. He has had unpaid advisers with federal lobbying clients, and some campaign officials also previously had lobbying jobs."The DNC raised more than $3 million so far this election cycle from lawyers and lobbyists, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. The Republican National Committee raised $1.1 million this election cycle from lawyers and lobbyists, according to the center.http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jvG1XWiPC5IjZQjGrvdVqEW8tRqgD91407N80

I hope it's true, but I find some of it difficult to swallow. A lot of those federal lobbyists and political action committees are key Democratic allies, and given how cash starved the DNC is right now, they need those funds now more than ever.
6/5/2008 5:19:52 PM
might as well quote the rest of it too eyedrb
6/5/2008 6:12:36 PM
so is there a combined total then? like dnc + barack and then mccain + rnc?
