How can I get past the admin password on XP? I would like to install programs on my work comp and they are being a pain in the ass about it. I don't care about getting the actual admin pw I would just like to either change it or get around it to install programs and printers. Any word??

plenty of people could help you with this, but plenty of those same people are probably tired of fuckups not following proper procedure for IT matters and making work a god awful bitch.

if someone did that at my workplace...i think between smoothcrim and myself they wouldn't be here the next day. IT is difficult enough to manage when you have idiots, much less idiots that try to undo the idiot-proofing that management pays folks to put in place.

reboot PCrepeatedly tap F8 @ the manufacturer splash screen (dell, lenovo, etc)select safe modeclick the admin iconcontrol panel > usersselect the username you need to modify > remove passwordthis is assuming the password you need to remove is coming from windows and not some 3rd party app live novell or something.
