liberal media is like salt water in the ocean. it's just a fact of life.
5/22/2008 8:04:05 AM
the pendulum in this country is just swinging back left.a few years ago all the cable news stations were racing to the right for fear of getting further smeared by fox news
5/22/2008 8:44:10 AM
^^ Name all the conservatives at the networks and cable other than FOX.
5/22/2008 8:44:33 AM
tucker carlson, pat buchanan (i don't watch cable news, but those are easy ones)
5/22/2008 8:45:24 AM
Joe Scarborough and I'd put Lou Dobbs on that list now too.

5/22/2008 9:11:10 AM
^^You said at either one. So now that we have provided conservatives on the news channels you are narrowing the scope? You know what, fuck it. The Conservatives have an entire goddamned fucking channel to themselves. There is no need to play the hooksaw game where the rules are changed throughout in order to make it seem like he wins.[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 9:17 AM. Reason : .]

5/22/2008 9:18:54 AM
look at russert today. he might not be a cut and dry partisan, but i'd say he leans more conservative than liberal.
5/22/2008 9:23:35 AM
A network full of them. But I know what your game is. Woe unto Hooksaw for he is oppressed.
5/22/2008 9:28:03 AM
saying that media isn't 99.99999999% liberal is like saying the earth isn't revolving around the sun.it just is.
5/22/2008 9:31:09 AM
news and observer certainly isn'tmost of radio certainly isn'tthere's plenty of media to go around. there are plenty of conservative and liberal media outlets (and figures)

Americans See Liberal Media Bias on TV News
5/22/2008 10:01:28 AM
^^ that is true.you have to remember that the liberal/conservative divide is near 50/50 so there -has- to be a lot of "conservative" outlets that exist.i think if you were to boil it down to the top 50 most read/watched/listened news outlets, you'd find that the vast majority of them swing for the left.

I don't have the numbers on that. And as I said, it was a lazy list that didn't even take into account anchors or election coverage teams. so no, my posting is nowhere near scientific here. So quit bitching.

oh i get nutsmackers list now...if you ask obama questions like what his favorite color is, or what his hobbies are, you don't get on that list.but if you are the people who would actually ask obama serious questions, you make nutsmackers list!!oh joy!
5/22/2008 10:36:39 AM
its funny that these same people will ask president bush what he had for breakfast and how was his latest vacation. i'm sure that correlation means nothing.

you are using surveys and polls to state fact. there you have it folks 9 out of 10 Americans think the media has a liberal bias, it must be true.
5/22/2008 1:40:47 PM

polls and surveys are not facts. Let's actually look at the polls in questionin the 2000 poll where they got the 9 out of 10 numbers. We find out by Most Americans it means 47% thought the media was helping Al Gore in the 2000 election. 23% thought it was helping Bush. So what about the remaining 40%?Let's look at another one of their polls:September 2006 - 44% of Americans thought the media was too liberal and 19% thought too conservative. Where is the remaining Americans? Don't they count?2003:53% of Americans thought the news media was biased. This is also were we find out what plurality means, only 41% of democrats think the media has a liberal tilt. Now we have this whopper in 2004:45% of Americans "thought the media coverage has not been biased toward either candidate."35% of Americans "said the coverage had been biased in Kerry’s favor"16% of Americans "thought coverage had been biased in favor of Bush."And now we have s 2007 survey which makes us wonder what did they mean by plurality originally?83% of likely voters said the media is biased in one direction or another97% of Republicans surveyed said the media are liberal66% of political independents said the media are liberal (had to assume since it didn't provide the real numbers)Just 66% of Democrats were certain the media skewed right (notice the different wording here)? 17% of Democrats said the bias favored the left (notice the different wording again, and I could have sworn that 17% was not a plurality).[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 2:15 PM.
