until now, and it's not half bad for the 59 cents or whatever it was. I can see why mexicans and college students love this shit.

next time you make it, put an egg in with it. gives it more protein and a little more value as a cheap form of sustenance. Tabasco helps too.

We have this asian contractor here at work, and he brings those things every day for lunch. I giggle a little when I see him walk around with it!ok I'm done
5/15/2008 10:03:51 AM
isnt that the one where you pour boiling water into the cup? would that cook a raw egg completely?
5/15/2008 10:04:17 AM
Well, I did buy 2 of them about a month back, so after I finish this one I'll have one more left, maybe I'll try the egg thing.
5/15/2008 10:05:50 AM
Yeah, the egg cooks real fast in water that hot. cook it for the obligatory 2 minutes, crack the egg into it, stir, and then cook for another 30 seconds. now you have a cup o' egg filled deliciousness.this also works with top ramen on the stove.

^ooooh I've had a strange craving for Ramen over the past week or so!I got my FL email and they are 7/$1 I'm gonna go buy some and maybe try your egg trick!

5/15/2008 10:11:29 AM
you can buy a 48 pack of ramen at sams for less than $5 i think. stock up now!
5/15/2008 10:14:59 AM
^Aren't they sold in a variety pack that way? I don't like the chicken flavor
5/15/2008 10:16:00 AM
don't eat this stuff, TWW!they're like 1000% your daily value of sodium
5/15/2008 10:19:27 AM
I think they sell them that way in chicken and beef.Ramen is the best to work with because the flavoring packets are kept separate. so, you could buy the chicken one and use old bay instead of the chicken flavoring they give you, and you would have a seafood inspired version. or, you could add a little soy sauce, butter, and minced garlic and you would have something Asian.^ VERY low sodium if you don't use the included flavoring packet[Edited on May 15, 2008 at 10:20 AM. 5/15/2008 10:19:45 AM
Psssh, the package says it's only 44% of my daily sodium.

5/15/2008 12:10:01 PM
ooooooooooooo cheeeeeeeeese.....
5/15/2008 12:10:51 PM
i only use a teeny bit of the sodium/flavor packet on mine
5/15/2008 1:15:18 PM
i love ramen noodles so much! sometimes i just put the flavor packet in the bag, shake it up and eat it like that.. if i do cook it, i only cook the water with the flavor, then put the noodles in right before i'm ready to eat it... the crunchier the better! yessss!!
