I've gotten 2 quotes around $250! a bit more than I was hoping for. I figure it can't be too complicated to replace seals and put in new oil. Anyone ever done this procedure before?Bike is 92 CB 750 nighthawk

shit is easy yo, after months of chronic problems on a YZ125 i buddy looked it up and figured that shit out in 15 min. it seriously only takes the most basic of tools(adjustable wrench and jap sockets?) and common sense, do it yourself

Thats what I figured. Thanks

Just did mine a week ago. I had to get a pretty big hex key and it's kind of messy, but the rest is cake.

where did you get your new seals?
5/10/2008 5:32:06 PM
check bikebandit.com

yea, they actually didn't have seals for my model. I've seen other sites where it'll add up to about $40 after shipping for a pair of dust and oil seals. seems high for a couple glorified rubber bands.

you would think they would be more than half off that i mean i think the mold paid for itself after the first set was sold.

^ do you have any clue what the fuck you are talking about?
5/11/2008 5:20:56 PM
no
5/11/2008 6:07:10 PM
ok SO I found set of seals on ebay for $25. got those ordered. I'm guessing the oil (suspension fluid) is pretty universal. I can get it at advanced auto parts?
5/11/2008 6:19:54 PM
no and no, spend a few fucking dollars to get a good seal so you dont have to do it again, and you need 10w MOTORCYCLE FORK OIL ONLY

thanks for the help, but whats with the attitude?
5/11/2008 6:31:30 PM
2 minutes of googling would have found the answers...

5/11/2008 11:15:46 PM

5/11/2008 11:57:30 PM
Mix them and get 7.5W. Should be good to go.
5/12/2008 12:48:53 AM
10W

now that's more like what i've been working with... 2000 ton[Edited on May 12, 2008 at 8:05 AM. Reason : obviouly fork seals would require a much smaller machine]
