It still gets me riled up that he punched J-hodge in the jewels, and here ESPN talks of how wonderful of a guy he is.
5/6/2008 12:10:09 PM
he hit Bruce Bowen in the nuts as well
5/6/2008 12:11:58 PM
^karma
5/6/2008 12:19:39 PM
get the fuck over it
5/6/2008 12:25:42 PM
ESPN will slob anybody...Vick, Paul, Reggie Bush (HOW'D THAT WORK OUT FOR YA LOLZ)
5/6/2008 12:26:45 PM
He (very rarely) gets into trouble on the court instead of off the court, which makes him a good guy by current professional athlete standards.Plus, uhhh he's really good
5/6/2008 12:31:59 PM
he's shocking the hell out of me lately, I knew he was good but he's dominating the playoffs, it just didn't seem like he has the physical talent to do this but he keeps proving me wrong
5/6/2008 2:04:47 PM
he is really balling out...i fully expect san antonio to come out and win games 3 and 4 to tie it up, and then we'll see what he's made ofbut the way he's playing now i wouldnt be shocked if the hornets were up 3-1 going back to new orleans
5/6/2008 2:07:17 PM
He's so fucking good but god damn.. what a little bitchHe goes flying across the court every time Bruce Bowen looks at him
5/6/2008 2:08:16 PM
well bruce bowen is one the biggest pieces of shit in league history
5/6/2008 2:11:53 PM
i agree about Bowengive Paul some time, he'll get on his leveli mean it seems like nobody on TWW can talk any shit about Paul, because apparently we're just holding onto the past about him punching Hodge in the nutsbut am I the only one who remembers him being a whiny bitch on the court and getting away with other cheap shots long before the Hodge incident?
5/6/2008 2:15:19 PM
5/6/2008 2:34:21 PM

5/6/2008 3:19:58 PM
He was a whiny bitch in college and he's a whiny bitch in the NBA. He's also a semi-dirty player, but I don't believe he'll ever get on Bruce Bowen's level because he doesn't have to. Bowen prides himself on his defense and his tough play...and to do that he needs to play dirty. Chris Paul has so much other shit that he's awesome at, so he doesn't need to resort to doing that stuff on a constant basis.Chris Paul is easily the best point guard in the game and has the chance to go down as the best point guard ever. He's sporting a fucking 12-to-1 turnover ration in the playoffs right now. He's played 7 games and had 9 fucking turnovers....NINE!!! As the primary ballhandler...that's just ridiculous.I still like Deron Williams better, and during the regular season I had Paul as 1a and Deron as 1b (it helped that Deron bested him in the head-to-head series). But considering the playoffs right now...Paul is the clear #1.

Did you just say Chris Paul is one of the best players in the history of the NBA?
5/6/2008 8:44:56 PM
say two of the top 5 players currently in the leaguethats still impressive, and a lot more accurate
5/6/2008 8:57:17 PM
btw congratulations to Kobe on his 1st MVP award everand that scrawny no-defense PG in Phoenix has won TWO?

5/6/2008 10:56:31 PM
there was maybe 5 people who supposedly said thatI was sitting front row for that game and about 10 of us were giving him and the rest of those fuckheads shit all game (not grandfather shit for clarification, I actually didnt even know about his Gpa until after the fact). When he made that shot he ran right over to where we were sitting and yelled "go home" a bunch. I yelled at him but was He's a dirty player and I hate him but he is balling out of his mind right now.
5/6/2008 11:34:40 PM
hes no Julius Hodge amirite?
5/6/2008 11:37:29 PM
HOLY SHIT HE TOLD YOU TO GO HOME
5/6/2008 11:46:26 PM

I was out drinking before the Yankees game last night at a bar and I had to explain to a colleague why Chris Paul's a little bitch when he brought up the playoffs.[Edited on May 7, 2008 at 1:43 PM. Reason : k]
5/7/2008 1:43:19 PM
He still punched J Hodge in the balls, so he is pretty low in my book. Regardless of his level of NBA play. Therefore, go Spurs!
5/7/2008 2:59:10 PM
35 points, 9 assists, and 1 turnover.I can't stand the guy...but what he's doing right now is kind of ridiculous. The Hornets wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs this year without him.
5/9/2008 4:43:46 PM
and the scary thing is, he is doing it without really getting the "superstar calls" that a d-wade or kobe gets
5/10/2008 2:50:18 PM
eh he's beginning to develop that extra half step/step to the basket that the superstars have
5/10/2008 6:07:23 PM
Settle down, he's playing really, really well but let's not start talking about how he has the chance to be the bet PG ever. In case you've already forgotten some of these guys were pretty good: Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, John Stockton, Oscar Robertson, and Bob Cousy.Yes, he's looked phenomenal, but he's also only in the second round of the playoffs after knocking off a Mavericks team that looked like it didn't want to be in the playoffs. If he manages to get them to the Western finals I'll be impressed, but I don't think there's any chance that they'll make it to the finals since the Hornets would have to beat either the Lakers or the Jazz.

What makes a player great isn't what he does in a few games, or even one season. We all remember plenty of people who have been great for a year and then faded. Great players are those who can perform at the highest levels night after night, year after year, in pressure situation after pressure situation. He's having a good run in the playoffs now, but keep in mind we are also only halfway through the second round of the playoffs. I might listen to you guys if we were in the Finals at this point, but this is just the beginning. They didn't call Reggie Jackson Mr. October because he had two good weeks.
