I'm using those dr. scholls wart removers, the 40% meds, which from what I understand are the strongest otc. But I'm so tired of this damn wart on my thumb cause it's in the most awful place. I've cut at it before but it hurts so bad, anyone have any tips?

man, i had what i thought was the beginning of a wart one time (pinhead sized, but persistent). i put one of those wart remover pads on, and it got rid of whatever it was. along with like 10 layers of skin beneath it. that shit was hardcore.

it must have scared all other warts away, didnt have any before that, never had one since.

don't just use the pads....

get the actual bottle of salycylic (sp) acid.....put a couple of drops on it and then the little medicated discs....then cover with a bandaid.....

change it every time you take a shower or bathe of whatever....

that shit will come out in less than a week

I had one, tried everything, and it didnt work. Went off to train for 4 weeks and it got huge becuase I kept tearing it or hurting it and it would come back bigger. Go get it frozen several times to get rid of it.

KEY: Longer you wait, worse it gets!

freeze is the right way

technically theyre not suppose to do it to the point of falling off right then unless they just like putting you in extra unnecessary pain.. just getting it cold enough for it to turn white for 30 seconds or so will make your body eventually get rid of it... that's how the OTC freeze spray wart removal things work

i wonder how much it would cost for a dermatologist to remove them.

the acid pads ate ALL the skin around it. barely touched the wart. i had to quit using it because the skin got too painful (i would remove the dead layers every few days). the wart was like "wtf you think you doing?"

i got the job. i've had this wart for months

If it's on your foot go quickly to the doctor, if you delay too long they will have to perform surgery and cut it out if it's in certain spots. If it's under the toe area they will prescribe you some strong shit that will take care of those.


Damn i thought you said foot, for a hand they will most likely freeze it off.

the doctor told me the otc freeze thing works, only if you do it right though. However, it's really hard to do it right because it gets so cold that it's painful and most people can't do it to their own wart for it to work.

in college one of my buddies had a nasty plantar's wart that he removed by ripping it out with pliers. He then cauterized the wound with a soldering iron. Its still a wonder to me today that it did not get infected, or come back. lol.

I had a couple on the bottom of my foot years ago

and my dematologist used squaric acid in a couple different treatments: the first was to ensure I was allergic to it, and then within days of the second treatment, those things were gone

it was amazing

I just cut at it for a bit...then I put 17% salicylic acid on top of it, then the 40% salicylic acid pads on top of that, then put the tape around it to keep those pads on, and I'm ready to go...I hope it works.

i had a huge plantar's wart on the sole of my foot. i kept those acid pads on it for weeks. each night i would scrape away the newly softened skin (b/c of the acid) with a pocket knife and i finally got down to the little black "seeds" or whatever. it was no longer noticeable after a few days. just took forever and the pads every morning were a bitch.

^from my research those black "seeds" are actually your blood vessels that have died from it (i know i didnt explain that well) basically warts are like mini tumors that are just on top of your skin and need to be removed, but besides being gross arent harmful (except plantar warts can bother you with walking)


i have one that came out of nowhere on my finger that i've been fighting for a couple weeks. Used that acid stuff on it, then cut it, a few days later it would grow back some, repeat. I'm hoping it's almost gone for good now...seems like it's been forever
