overall i think history will judge G.W. fairly.

Too early to say for certain, but at the rate things are going now, it's not looking too good.

"fairly" as a "fair President" or "fairly" as in "it's fair to say he is a complete failure"

In the long run, I'll bet he'll be similar to William McKinley or Andrew Jackson. Some good, some bad, and reasonably significant.

I've already started a thread on this:http://thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=504034&page=1PS: And mine has a better title and more info. FYI. [Edited on April 29, 2008 at 11:42 AM. Reason : .]

He'll probably fair better than McKinley depending on how Iraq goes. I think he'll be remembered for his tough response to 9/11 and that will trump everything else. All-in-all, I think he'll be viewed as underachieving considering the unifying 9/11 factor.

given the fact that no president in recent history has dealt with a direct assaults on major cities like NY, and DC he did an ok job.katrina will be a big black mark for him. and the economy/housing/gas issues won't help his record.dealing with hurricane rita (which was just as strong) was much better the second time, and also the wildfires in sandiego we're handled better than other disasters, so...i'd say history will give him a 55/100[Edited on April 29, 2008 at 11:50 AM. i think he'll be noted for protecting us against another terrorist attack. he's the Decider. i think that's how he'll be known. you know a gutsy Texan that made tough decisions for the betterment of the country.the real pressure is on the 08' candidate. i think Obama's the best option cause his perspective is very intellectual, rational, and consise.btw: hooksaw - you're thread sucked balls (no homo). literally. it was sort of gay. in a dick to jaw kind of way, not a sunny breezy joyous day kinda gay. mine was more succint and to the point. i didn't make it with an aim to please. i left it open-ended to bring about discussion. i'm the poster for Change. you represent the status-quo.

his exit is cool. it reminds me how i acted the last couple weeks of high school. i was a happy motherfucker. i was even happier my last 90 days in the Army. i got a sneaker profile and rarely shaved. i knew the pain was over.i think that's how George feels. i can't wait till he gets in public life. he's the coolest Republican since Calvin Coolidge.
4/29/2008 5:10:36 PM
^ But Coolidge left and that led to Herbert Hoover. So who's Hoover? McCain, Hillary, or Obama?
4/29/2008 6:26:10 PM
Unless the Republicans write the history books, this will be looked down upon as one of the worst presidencies ever.
