anybody know how to stream videos/clips (lets say the ones you save from halo) to your computer. I have a mac and was wondering what program or whatever I would need to do that and how?

the 360 should have a built in tutorial, i believe it requires WMP(latest version)

once you've got WMP you'll need to enable sharing in the library tab, hopefully(although you own a mac), you'll see the 360 in the window and you'll just enable sharing to it

look for a tutorial in the media tab -> computer area on the xbox itself, dunno if it's mac compatable

once you do get everything shared, just include what folders you're sharing and the xbox should play most newer XVID/DIVX .avi movies, as well as all .WMV files

This is probably the best program for the Mac to do this (might be the only one). It actually sometimes works better than streaming from Windows.

this has everything you need.

I'm using a eyeTV usb capture device that I picked up from best buy in Crossroads. (or you can order from their website). Its plug and play. really easy to use, you can export all your videos in pretty much any format then import it into iMovie for editing or montage making if thats your thing.

Thats what I use for both my Xbox360 and PS3 for video capture.

It comes with an HD over-the-air antenna too so you can record HD tv but capturing for devices are done with either S-Video or composite. You will also need the RCA-to-mini Stereo to hook up the audio. Which i beleive came with your xbox (or at least it did with mine)


Also with the Xbox360 if you happen to have your computer and the TV near each other you can hook up the composite connections to the Mac and the component connections to the TV and play while capturing (in SD though). You cannot do that with the PS3 unless you split the video. The reason why this is crucial is because when you're recording it is about 2 seconds behind. Its not a problem when you're recording replays but if you want to capture Live gameplay its impossible because everything you see on the screen happened 2 seconds ago. But if you do as a suggested with the Xbox360 you won't have this issue (but your audio will be delayed by 2 seconds)

This does not effect your final recording though...only while you are actually playing
