I'm ashamed to admit that I am a graduate of NCSU and I've never participated in the hike.

Nor have I ever attended a NCSU sporting event.

i have never hiked in my 7 years at ncsu.

i tailgated once. i didn't go to the game and two people died a few hundred feet from us.

i haven't gotten to tailgate since.

I tailgated once before I was a student and it was NCSU vs Florida State and NCSU won and it was a big deal. I remember seeing the goalpost go marching by.

After three disappointing losses in a row, Wolfpack fans were once again in a celebrating mood.

NC State beat the Florida State Seminoles 17 to 7 to end the season with 10 wins; a first in NC State history.

In their excitement some fans ran for the goal post with 8 seconds left on the play clock.

After the game was finally called, fans once again stormed the field, taking the goal posts down but the posts did not leave the stadium. Three people did suffer injuries during the celebration. They were taken to REX Hospital, one with a broken leg and two others with torn knees.

i haven't been on the hike since i was 21.

that ended after about 15 minutes, because i got in a fight at Mitch's.

luckily, i lived directly behind El Rodeo.

i was a young, angry man back then.
