probably some kind of bug bite, but it doesnt itch, isnt numb, and isnt really painful.

the mass under the skin is definitely firm though, not squishy or anything

I had one that looked just like that once. It turns out that some kind of insect laid eggs underneath my skin. After about two or three weeks they'll hatch and chew their way out.

i had pics of one similar in my gallery but they haven't been restored yet.

No the dr. will give you antibiotics take a sample run a culture, possibly change your antibiotics...

i don't know which worked cause i did both.
