I liked Forza, never played PGRbut in 5 days all other video games will cease to matter for the 30 day period thereafter

what is this you speak of?

Forza 2 hands down.

Never played any PGR but Forza 2 came with my 360, and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. I usually never play realistic racing games (Most of my racing games are stuff like Mario Kart or F-Zero). The soundtrack is really cool, the customization of the cars is nice, there are tons of tracks to race on, and I'm pretty sure there is lots of downloadable content.

PGR4 --> Race for Kudos (flare driving)Forza 2 --> Simulation driving (a la Gran Turismo)

its GT5 with real car damage and more realistic driving physics.not in graphics obviously...but as someone who plays both, i'd say Forza 2 is more in depth because of modding/customizing the appearance of your car etc.

Forza - simulation driving ftw. Also, you can upgrade shit like you would in real life...Forza is as close to Gran Turismo you're gonna get on 360

Well I'd say that GT is the closest you'd get to Forza since Forza has a lot more to offer. It would be perfect if you combined the graphics of GT into the gameplay/engine of Forza.

concur. btw - I see you posting in the GTA IV thread and it's getting a little hairy, any line on copies of it without modding the system?

the only way to get GTAIV now is downloading and playing it on a modded Xbox360. I haven't heard of anyone breaking the street date yet.

^x3I think the full GT5 will surpass Forza 2 by leaps and bounds (hopefully)
4/24/2008 5:06:55 PM
^GT5 Prologue has already surpassed Forza by leaps and bounds in the graphics and visual department.Forza 2 will still be leaps and bounds ahead of GT5 full simply because of its advanced physics engine, car damage, mods, custom paint schemes, etc. Not to mention DLC. I read that GT5 P will have DLC to pretty much bring it to the full games level but beyond that I dont' know.GT5 is, to quote MS Flight Sim, 'as real as it gets' for a racing sim in a lot of ways except the feel of realism. It looks real, sounds real but if nothing happens to you or the other car but come to a complete stop when you head on collide with another car at 150+ mph...its really not that great.I'd love for GT5 to have Forza 2's features....that would put it leaps and bounds ahead of anything 'next gen'.The main reason why i'm loving GT5 P is because it looks and sounds so damn real...i've never seen anything like it besides being on a real track.

I think PGR4 is a great game, but I bought it for getting kudos on motorcycles
4/24/2008 5:55:28 PM
Assuming you are trying to decide which one to buy:The deciding factor is that Forza 2 can be found used for like $12 packaged with Marvel Ultimate Alliance (which is a lot of fun IMO).

They're two different beasts, but:Forza:You like simulationYou like customizationYou like an online communityYou buy DLC cars and tracksYou want to spend $15 dollarsPGR4:You like arcade-y racersYou like unique and rarer cars (look up the list)You like motorcyclesYou are a graphics whore
