There is a silver motorcycle on kent between western and kaplan. I pass it every day on the way home but I can never remember to see what it is. Does anyone know the model, year and price the little sign has on it?

bike on kent is indeed a kawi 650r which is pretty badass looking bike for an entry-level ride it is even if it is not that fast.

its a parrallel twin entry level sport bike that replaced ex500/ninja500

power wise and suspension wise it won't hang with the 4cyl 600 rockets, even the older ones. probably wont even hang with the likes of sv650. but it's quite an upgrade from ex500 (which has been around sine late 80s with minimal changes)

Its plenty fast. For a first time rider, the 250 is plenty fast. It will keep up with 600 rockets on the streets. If the gixxer is going fast enough or accelerating hard enough the 650r is being left behind, then someone is going waaaay too fast for street use. Track is a different story. But I have heard of 250s beating gixxer 6s on the curves when the gixxer rider was inexperienced. so pure hp and torque isnt that big of a deal for a first time rider. I dont know if itd be a good first bike, a little too much power maybe, but ive never ridden one. Would be borderline. 500 would be much better and 250 an easy first bike.

They're slow compared to most other motorcycles, but still faster than most cheaper cars. And they will break 100 mph. Barely.
