Lord knows this guy needs his own thread. Every time he says something stupid, forgets to breathe or just plain blows up plz to update. So far this year he called Girardi and Cashman idiots, said Red Sox nation doesn't exist and called out Jon Papelbon.A few more losses by Hughes and Kennedy and we'll see a real explosion. This should be fun...[Edited on April 23, 2008 at 1:55 PM. Reason : he's like Mark Cuban only a lot dumber and less tactful]

Geez, this guy makes me miss George -- at least the last few years of George.I forget who said it, but I thought it was quite true.At least when George blew up, he showed some semblance of an understanding of the game of baseball.Hank...not so much. IF YOU THROW 100 YOU HAVE TO BE A STARTER!!!1

Well he is right about Chamberlain being a starter, you'd take a dominant SP over a dominant CL any day. I just don't know if the Yankees have anybody that can close games that's young and as good as he is, but I think it'd be cool if we watched Papelbon and Chamberlain be dominant closers up there for the next 15 years.
4/23/2008 2:35:12 PM
lol, I didn't know he also said that Mussina needs to learn how to pitch like Jamie Moyer.. What a joker.
4/23/2008 5:08:01 PM
who was it that said something to the effect of "we need an ace, like the Red Sox have Beckett"whoever that was knew something
4/23/2008 5:09:25 PM
^^yeah read that in the paper yesterday, lol.
4/23/2008 7:52:22 PM

4/23/2008 8:00:20 PM
^^ He immediately walked in a run. Sorry, he struck somebody out, then walked in a run.[Edited on April 23, 2008 at 8:45 PM. Reason : $]

lolGiving up a run is not self destructing. My goodness. The guy has given up THREE total runs in 30 innings of work. It was unfortunate that it happened in the bottom of the ninth. But geez. It's April. He didn't self destruct. Even the best closers (Rivera, Papelbon, for ex.) give up runs from time to time.[Edited on April 25, 2008 at 10:02 AM. Reason : a]

career:33.1 IP3 ER45 Kyeah, he's an awful guy to have in clutch situations... they will turn him into the next kerry wood if they put him as SPas for last night, they should have walked crede to set up the DP. ramirez, who is absolutely awful, was next in the batting order...[Edited on April 25, 2008 at 10:03 AM. Oh, it's coming. This blowup is going to be LEGENDARY. This guy is going to put late 70's-early 80's George to shame...[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 11:50 AM. Reason : x]

Hank is making me embarassed to be a Yankees fan. I liked George. I wish he'd come back.
5/2/2008 11:59:59 AM
hank let ozzie guillen beat him to the punch on the blow up... both are regrettable human beings.
5/5/2008 8:02:38 PM
i read the thread title as "hank steinbrenner dead"and i was like thank god.
5/5/2008 8:56:21 PM
hahaha, steve phillips is goin off on hank on espn right now. Pretty much said he rolls his eyes everytime he talks out and thinks that he just needs to shutup.btw, hank said the yankees need to play more like the rays, then went on to say they need to play like AAA guys looking to earn their first major league check.this guy is an idiot
5/14/2008 6:36:46 PM
just getting this ready...
5/18/2008 10:43:31 PM
hahahaha
5/18/2008 10:50:49 PM
nice
5/18/2008 11:00:03 PM
The comment that Hank made about his guys playing more like the Rays is the exact type of comment that his father would make...Only different, when George spoke there was something behind it, because he only came out and spoke when it was needed. This guy lost all credibility over the summer with his comments, I would bet he is a joke within the clubhouse, and he just comes off as one of those "I am here because of my Daddy" type people. He is the guy who you that he became your boss, simply because of bloodline. However, this moron is fucking entertaining.
5/18/2008 11:57:10 PM
Step it up, Hank. You're letting Ozzie win.For terrible human beings, Guillen and Hank sure are entertaining[Edited on June 1, 2008 at 11:50 PM. Reason : hank must be getting anxious with the mets being the backpage story recently...]
6/1/2008 11:49:07 PM
lookin dumb about those joba comments after tonight
6/3/2008 10:47:49 PM
what a dipshit. Wang gets hurt running bases, so Hank comes out with some stupid comments about the NL needing to join the 21st century and institute the DH. Hank is a fucking idiot. The DH is the worst thing to ever happen to baseball. Someone needs to shoot this dumb bastard
6/16/2008 10:38:22 PM
More like, the Yankees staff needs to teach their pitchers how not to run like douche bags.
6/17/2008 1:29:12 AM
6/17/2008 2:17:05 AM
i like how he said that the NL is playing in the 1800's when the DH was just instituted in the 1970's, hahahaha
6/17/2008 4:24:37 PM

^ He says in that article he has never seen a team decimated by injuries as much as this years Yankees. Gimme a fucking break. The Braves have had it far worse this season than the Yankees, losing their top 3 starters, their top 3 bullpen guys, their best hitter for a long stretch, 2/3 OFs, etc.
8/22/2008 11:30:24 AM
^Yeah and there are several teams that deal with issues....it's part of the game. The Braves have easily been worse....Smoltz, Glavine, Hudson, my God those 3 are better than Pavano, Joba, and Wang. He is such a crybaby. The Cardinals (since I know them well) have had similar trouble with no Carpenter (better than anyone the Yankees have period), little Wainwright, Pujols has been hurt, Ankiel's been hurt, Mulder is done, Clement pretty much quit.
8/24/2008 11:56:24 PM
ESPN ran some figure last week on the number of 'notable' DL stints this yearThe yanks and some other team were at 21, the rays were at 20Epic, Hank
