Has anyone taken it? Fun? Do you have to get your own rapier/foil/epee?

You use a foil for the majority of the class. Toward the end of the semester, once you get demonstrations of the epee and the rapier, you're allowed to try it during those demonstrations, but otherwise, its straight foil. You're provided with the helmet, the vest, the sword, the glove. They recommend you wear pants that cover your knees and good shoes. That's about it.It was fun, felt a little awkward, but had buddies in the class, so that kinda quelled the uneasiness feeling.I always hated the one guy though...even after we called an end to the match, he kept striking at me...bastard trying to beat up a girl
