AHA, I introduced my younger cousin to Rudy. We watched the movie, and then his mom (my aunt) came in at the end and was like, "Yeah, sure, like that could ever happen."

I'm sure I'm one of few people who remember this, and I only know because I lived down the hall from him and we became friends, but Joe Sinford pulled a Rudy. He damn near got a pick in the one game that I can remember him playing in, but the guy just looked too excited to hold on to it. People were even chanting "RUDY! RUDY!" when he went on the field.

So next time tell her that!

p.s. Joe was 5'8", 175ish. worked hard at every practice and got to play his last home game. not quite a Rudy equivalent, but you get the idea.
