The Shure PG 6-Piece Drum Mic Package includes one PG52 kick drum mic, 3 PG56 snare/tom mics, 2 PG81 instrument mics, a carrying case and 6 15' Shure mic cables for $350. The kit has only been used for two shows, ever. I have been a drummer for almost 12 years and have done many shows which have required mic-ing, but the house has always provided them. When used, the mics sounded awesome and were very effective at cutting through the rest of the band without being completely overwhelming. The list price for this kit is $975.14. Musician's Friend wants to sell the kit WITHOUT the 6 cables for $400.Ad is on Craigs List too:http://raleigh.craigslist.org/msg/633709294.html[Edited on April 21, 2008 at 8:32 AM. Reason : :]

http://www.zzounds.com/item--SHUPGDMK6XLRsame package NEW and WITH CABLES for $400and if you think you're gonna get $300 on tww, you're sorely mistaken

^ That's fine, but there's no way that I'm taking $100 for these. The price I'm asking isn't just for the mics, it's also for the convenience of not having to pay taxes or shipping fees. I don't really think that I'm offering a bad deal. And I just posted on t-dub to broaden my offers to people in Raleigh. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

^^ honestly equipment like this, if in good condition, holds its value very well. this isnt a computer, or tv, or car or something that decreases in value as much. Obviously he wouldnt get 400 for this, and maybeee 300 is a bit high. But surely anything less than 200 and hes getting completely ripped off. Id say 250 would be a decent "tww value" and he could get 300 elsewhere probably.

oh i know, i was completely lowballing with the $100. i own a studio, i know all about this stuff holding it's value - just sold a 20 year old tube amp for more than i paid for it originally p.s. zzounds doesn't charge tax or shipping.and $200/$250 sounds perfectly reasonable, although i wouldn't be willing to pay that for them, i've already got a set, just wanted another ]

^ I guess not for regular shipping, but they were chargine $20+ for two-day shipping and around $50 for overnite. Just making a point. BTW, I am asking $350 because I want to try to maximize the return on my investment. I am willing to negotiate, to a point, though. You know, the whole "there's got to be someone out there who is willing to pay the asking price".Why do you need another set of these mics. If anything I could use another set, because one of the main reasons I'm selling my set now is because I have a 9 piece double bass drum set.[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 10:51 AM. Reason : adz]

cause i do live sound reinforcement in addition to studio work and i run into people who have double bases and stuff a lot, could do some more fun isolation stuff if i had some more mics. i don't want to use any of my expensive stuff on drums because the SPL would kill the diaphragms in a heartbeat. these are cheap and they sound decent.]

i'll start the bidding at $80
