Come here to discuss the most loaded team in the country! I'm ready for the hate to resume.
4/20/2008 4:01:46 PM
they will lose like they always do...fucking losers
4/20/2008 4:03:15 PM
yeah, this is a shitty record:2002 Ohio State 14-0 8-0 T-1st W Fiesta 2003 Ohio State 11-2 6-2 2nd W Fiesta 2004 Ohio State 8-4 4-4 5th W Alamo 2005 Ohio State 10-2 7-1 T-1st W Fiesta 2006 Ohio State 12-1 8-0 1st L BCS National Championship 2007 Ohio State 11-2 7-1 1st L BCS National Championship Over the last 6 years, no one has won more games.
4/20/2008 4:06:51 PM
whoopty do...my mom could win the fiesta bowl...they are choke artists
4/20/2008 4:09:00 PM
they weren't even supposed to be that good last year to make it to the BCS Title game. Everyone agreed it was really a re-building year for the team. This year, different story. Please be ready for an absurd level of Linebacker play and great WR/RB play.
4/20/2008 4:10:55 PM
WOOOOOO, GO BUCKEYES!!I was thinking about making this thread the other day, but decided to wait til closer to the season, guess its never too early to talk about the BuckeyesI predict that the winners of the OSU/USC and Florida/Georgia games will play in the national championship this year. And I predict that will be OSU vs. Georgiaand I think that the Ohio State will bring the championship home to Columbus this seasonalso, Chris "Beanie" Wells will win the Heisman...just thinking about how good the Buckeyes are going to be this year makes me happy
4/20/2008 4:12:23 PM
tossers, all of you.
4/20/2008 4:36:45 PM
lol, they can't beat an SEC team
4/20/2008 4:38:19 PM
move the fuckeyes from the big 11 to the SEC and they'll get their asses kicked on a weekly basis.
4/20/2008 4:42:47 PM
bc that would make sense. They had 73k show up in rain for the spring game yesterday!
4/20/2008 4:54:35 PM
Classy
4/20/2008 5:20:12 PM
i bought my tickets a few weeks ago...and i'm pretty stoked!
4/20/2008 5:47:07 PM
I'd much rather make it to the championship and lose, than not be there at allthey'll win it all this year, they are too good not to
4/20/2008 5:50:06 PM
this thread will be deleted soon. they are making us discuss individual teams in the college fball thread
4/20/2008 5:54:38 PM
i'll keep it if it's actually usedi'm deleting the ones that won't make it to page 2
4/20/2008 6:12:50 PM
they're too slow as always. Their only hope is that a big 12 or ACC team gets into the BCS title against them.
4/20/2008 6:16:22 PM
oklahoma is going to be pretty damn good next year
4/20/2008 6:18:55 PM
I love how everyone says OSU chokes despite a winning BCS game record, and damn near every school would LOVE to make it to 2 straight NC games, regardless of the outcome.
4/20/2008 6:30:31 PM
4/20/2008 8:31:56 PM
I guess you look back at those days as "the glory days" now, huhjuuuuust playin, I know ya'll will be back in a year or two....hell maybe even this year if RichRod is as great of a coach as he's made out to be[Edited on April 20, 2008 at 8:37 PM. Reason : adf]
4/20/2008 8:35:50 PM
they are saying (and i agree) michigan already has enough talent, which they do, to be good quick... IF, and only IF, richrod is the real deal with his coachingso if it is ugly this year... i would never count on it to be a championship force, even after experience and specific recruiting
4/20/2008 8:39:14 PM
4/20/2008 9:32:23 PM
thanks picture guy, take your shit elsewhereor post pictures of the Horseshoe
4/20/2008 10:28:20 PM
will this finally be the year that people realize the big10 is bad at football?i'm hoping so.
4/20/2008 10:29:54 PM
Ohio State and maybe Illinois/Wisconsin/Penn State will be goodis the Big Ten as good as the SEC? nobut for the purposes of this thread and the Ohio State fans everywhere, it doesnt really matter as long as OSU rolls through the conference again. There's not much you can do about it when multiple teams in your conference are having bad years, you just have to play your schedule and beat everyone along the way. That, and having a few good OOC games thrown in should helphere's their schedule this year - flame away, I know you willSat, Aug 30 Youngstown State Columbus, Ohio Sat, Sep 06 Ohio Columbus, Ohio Sat, Sep 13 USC at Los Angeles, Calif. 4/20/2008 10:35:29 PM
good. they'll lose to usc and won't get another free pass to the title game.they'll probably lose to troy, too.
4/20/2008 10:42:07 PM
no, they easily could... they could lose to USC but then near the end of the year when other teams lose people will forget about that and they will sneak in again.
4/20/2008 10:43:27 PM
Tressell needs to quit trying to be tough and go back to his marshmellow soft OOC schedule. USC in L.A., looks like another clinic on speed will be held at the LA Coliseum on Sept. 13th. Nice job by Tressell to get this game in September though, might not hurt his BCS hopes.
4/20/2008 11:14:04 PM
4/20/2008 11:16:59 PM
OSU has OOC games scheduled against USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Tennessee (attn: Jaybee), VT, and Cal.Also, I'm likely going to the OSU-Michigan game this year. The Horseshoe is my mecca.

To the thread creator - what is your connection to OSU?
4/21/2008 9:26:22 AM
4/21/2008 9:36:48 AM
since they scrapped the michigan thread...here is the new offensehttp://blog.mlive.com/thediag/2008/04/michigan_spring_game_highlight.htmlthe horseshoe really is a gorgeous stadium though, i agree with brass. I'd love to see a game there someday

4/21/2008 10:14:57 AM
4/21/2008 10:53:41 AM
^^OSU will win both games, USC has too many question marks right now (and yes, I know they are USC and "reload" at every position, but they lost a LOT of key players last season) while OSU has pretty much the same team as last season. I know its in Cali, but I personally think the talent/experience gap is too great this year for home field to play a factor in the outcomeNext year might be a different story since the roles will likely be reversed and OSU will have a lot of question marks while USC will be bringing back a lot of talent...but next year will be in the Horseshoe so that might level things out a little
4/21/2008 10:58:46 AM
4/21/2008 11:43:46 AM
^Sounds like every UNC fan I've ever met.
4/21/2008 12:15:59 PM
yup. nothing better than bandwagon walmart fans.
4/21/2008 12:24:55 PM
Got my tickets reserved for the Ohio State / Penn State game. I don't particularly like either team, but I'm excited.
4/21/2008 12:38:59 PM
4/21/2008 1:17:31 PM
^don't worry man... even though there IS a fine line with it... but these southerners don't understand that type of football up there and how its more than just a game and how it doesn't even matter that the big televen isnt the best conferenceunc basketball is just a game and they have the best team with a flashy powder blue color that certain "people" get attracted to and become bandwagon fans
4/21/2008 2:55:00 PM
more of a school pride thing i think? I've always been a hard-core oklahoma fan and some of my family went there, but i'd never pull for them over state.
4/21/2008 3:51:51 PM
I wouldnt pull for OSU over NCSU, but that doesnt mean that I'm not a fan of Ohio Statethis dumbass argument comes up every single season where a few people claim that you cannot like any other school besides the one that you attended, no matter how strong your family ties are to the university. If I was a Hawaii fan because I like their school colors, but have no other ties to the university, and I only started liking them when Colt Brennan became quarterback, then that would make me a bandwagon fan
4/21/2008 4:12:44 PM
I've never been a sports bigamist. My ties/allegiance have always been to OSU, even when I went to NCSU. I like NCSU, and I'll pull for them over whomever they're playing (except when the 2 teams played), but I dont actively follow their recruiting more than other schools, I don't have NC State memorabilia adorning my house like I do with OSU.Feel free to hate on the team, much like I hate Michigan with every ounce of my being, but don't hate on why I'm a fan, b/c that's fucking retarded. My fanhood needs no questioning.Back to the football, linebacker Curtis Terry will likely see time at fullback, simply to overpower the other team.[Edited on April 21, 2008 at 4:48 PM. Reason : football]
4/21/2008 4:47:45 PM
As far as atmosphere, talent, and tradition go...Ohio State is like an SEC team in the Big 10...too bad the only team that they play is the SEC team that beats them in the bowl game every year.
4/21/2008 4:58:07 PM
in before the someone tells you that OSU would only win 2 games playing an SEC schedule.
4/21/2008 6:21:26 PM
Set 'em up for page 2. don't want this thread to get deleted cause we'll need something to laugh at in January.
