whenever I see these, I think the seller has a special, super-absorbent towel and the towels for sale are just fakes.

'cause none of the ones I run across work THAT well. i used one to dry my car and eventually, it got all linty and ragged. Now I use a car-specific towel (yellow in a clear tube from walmart) and even it can't pick up water nearly as well as the commercial. Oh, and it leaves lint too.
