I cant stand people with bad teeth. Even a cavity disgusts me. All I have done is brush at night and in the morning, and I have no cavities. Sure I have missed a time or two, but I just cant ever imagine having a cavity, it is just so unhealthy IMO. People with multiple cavities just boggle my mind. Do you honestly not care enough about you appearance to spend 5min a day total brushing your teeth??

i was 26+ when i got my first cavity

then i went for about a year or year and a half where i got like 3-4. haven't had any since. not sure what changed during that time to cause those cavities...diet change (drinking a shit ton of red bull and rockstar to work long hours)? puking a fair amount in flight school? stress from flight school and an unexpected pregnancy? i don't know.

or maybe it was from spending a lot of time in the field at the 6 months of training i did before going to flight school, where numerous times i'd go for a week without brushing my teeth (other than those finger-brush things sometimes), and it just took a while for it to catch up with me.

Yeah, um I brush teeth my mornings, nights, and after every meal and hardly ever eat artificial sugars. I've had a lot of cavities and probably have some right now. I had a conversation with my dentist and he said teeth are genetic too. That doesn't mean you can blame every cavity you have on your genes, but that weaker, cavity-prone teeth as well as strong, healthy teeth are somewhat genetic. So I hope your spouse carries the weak teeth gene and your kids turn out to have 234873294873298347 cavities even after you brush their teeth regularly...bad teeth aren't all caused by bad hygiene.

i have a few spots that are weakened or a tiny hole, but they're not cavities.
