i have a great mechanic back home in burlington (H&R Auto), but with work, it's hard to get my car there for servicing.i've been using the AAA on avent ferry for a few years and i feel like i'm getting hosed. my car is there now for a 3,000 mile service, inspection and tune up which is running around $250 and they called me saying $600 worth of work needed to be done (new drive belts, something with the fuel injection, etc). i notice minor hesitation between gear shifts and it feels like it's nothing a little tune up won't fix.is there anyone in raleigh that works on hondas that is trustworthy, reasonably priced, and doesn't try to take you to the bank by adding things that aren't necessary?it's a 2001 honda accord ex coupe with 131,000 miles on it. regular 3,000 mile services and interval maintenances (90k and all that fun stuff).thanks guys.

if i enjoyed working on cars id do it for you for cheaper.but im sure you can find someone on here who would like to work on it and make some $$.i think you can go on hondas website and see what gets dont at 90K and the rest of the intervals.

Isn't there some place called Tao Auto in the area that works on imports? My dad said the head mechanic/owner/whoever the hell it was he talked to was really helpful when he was asking him about a problem my brother had with his civic.I thought I had heard them mentioned on here before as a good place to work on honda's, but I'd wait til a few more people give their opinion.http://www.taoauto.com/
