I've asked my sister who knows some Spanish and she was thinking one thing, then another, and five minutes later she came up with something else. In my job I photograph a lot of kids and some have absolutely no understanding of English, so I'd like to just tell them to smile instead of using my fingers to pull up a smile on my own face and hope they get the hint.

So what is the translation for the single imperative, addressed to an inferior for "smile"? Sonrier? Sonrier te? Something like that?

Oh yeah, and as the official "picture lady" a big part of my job is to goof off and crack kids up before they sit down for their picture, and I usually address them with silly names, so I'll need those in Spanish as well. Sugar, sweetie, princess, etc.

"Amnesty" usually brings at least a smirk.

Just show them your boobs. They will smile in disgust.

When I was working at disney, all the spanish moms would say "Mira" (look?) when they were taking pictures.
