Just a friendly reminder from the meteorologists at NC DAQ (http://www.ncair.org) that tomorrow is the first Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for the Triangle region in 2008.The AQI was adjusted this year to be more protective of public health. With this in mind, the standard was lowered to 75 ppb. Due to this more stringent standard, you will notice an increase in the number of Air Quality Action Days (Code Orange and above) this year.

I'm going to take action by driving to a rural area with better air on my lunch break and after work. Maybe I can convince lots of other people to do the same. This will be great! Take that, bad air! Seriously, I'm at my desk. I won't go for my usual run today.
