so i've got this 1988 4runner which i like, but in reality it's more than i really need at this point. i really dont want to get something 'new' at this point, but i would like to make some kind of even trade at this point for something in basically the same condition but smaller and more efficient.

i've been using the 4runner as a daily driver for about 7 months or so and it's always been reliable and whatnot....i just feel it would better off being an off-roader for some that likes to do that sorta thing. the truck itself is in fair condition, with a few minor flaws and one major one:

paint's sorta rough in spots
crack in the windshield
sunroof is cracked
cd player/speakers need to be totally rewired/no antenna
*and* the steering is not quite as tight as it should be


like i said, i've been driving it pretty much every day for the past few months and it hasnt let me down yet..it just reached 200,000 miles and i dont see any reason why it couldnt make it another 100,000. so basically what i'm trying to figure out here is if i can expect to be able to do an even trade with someone for a smaller vehicle, or if i'm just an idiot.


kelly blue book for this thing in fair condition is $1,735.....i really only want to get about $1,400 worth out of the deal...
