That's sort of sad that she got selected after at least 6 people who were not even invited.

They have 3 rounds in the WNBA draft? It must be 50% better than the NBA.

Why is the draft so soon after the tournament? Wasn't the championship just yesterday?

It's kind of sad that you can't add.

I thought that as soon as I posted it, but I felt like I'd make someone's day by letting them correct me.

ok maybe i've had too much calculus and it ruined regular math for, but what was wrong with his math

26th pick - 20 people invited = 6

therefore, at least 6 non-invitees drafted before her?

what am i missing?

I guess your math assumes that only the top twenty prospects were invited.

IDK

i think their rationale is that it would be at least 5, as she would be the 26 person, leaving 25 picked before her

25-20=5

but she is part of the 20 people invited which would be 25 picked before her, leaving 19 of which possibly being invited

25-19=6

[Edited on April 9, 2008 at 11:48 PM. Reason : it's either math or english]

He was going by 20 people plus the 5 that would have been selected before her, not counting her as the 26th. But she counts as one of those twenty invited so if we assume that the other 19 invited players were picked before her there was still 6 people who were not invited picked before her

I didn't originally subtract her out of the 20, but my first post was right after all.

^beat me to it

it's always good times when someone trolls and then gets called out as less than intelligent

Because simple math errors on internet message boards are a key indicator of intelligence.

I still want to be the king of math/spelling errors on TWW.

I know that I have been off of my game lately, but I can see that the competition is getting hot.

why do you think there's the desparity in graduation rates between male and female ncaa basketball players?

the females know they'll have to have a real job after their playing days are over, and w/o a degree, good luck.
