i have had my radar detector for about 3 years now and had no issues of any kind with it. recently when i turn on my truck and start driving i have been getting absolutely pelted with laser detections. it has gotten so bad that i just turn the thing off now because it is just a constant laser noise. anyone know why this is happening, had this problem before, or know how to fix it? i went to the website and they didnt really have anything about it and i havent changed anything in my truck so that cant be the cause.

there is a way to reset it I believe. I think you press all three buttons on there... my friend had a Passport 8500 that flaked out and resetting it helped.

you can just disable laser as laser detection is fairly pointless and not used in NC

I am pretty sure that's not a true statement. I've been lasered in NC before... Also, even though they quit using them, the camera vans in Charlotte used laser.
