So, I just got a new dog a couple weeks ago. Her name is Trixie (I didn't pick the name), and she's a 9 month old American Bulldog. I wanna find some good spots around the area to take her and let her get some exercise. She still has tons of puppy in her, and really needs to let out some of the energy!!Do you have any good spots you like to take your dogs? Here's a couple pictures of Trixie when she found my wooden hangers!!![Edited on April 8, 2008 at 3:47 PM. Reason : woops wrong links hahaha]

If you're headed toward Tryon from I-40 on Lake Wheeler, it's the first left after the stoplight at Sierra. Follow that road all the way to the end and the dogpark is next to the softball/baseball field. There's another one in N. Raleigh called Millbrook Exchange Park.

trying to get doggie slobber out of my molars

Throw her in the middle of the Lake - she'll have to swim far, that's some good exercise
4/8/2008 3:52:00 PM
Has she been around other dogs? How does she act?
4/8/2008 3:53:09 PM
Oh she loves other doggies! She plays with my neighbor's dog all the time. She's fairly well behaved. She just like to jump up on people! That's the main thing I'm working with her about.I'm glad to know that there's one off Lake Wheeler! I thought the only place was the Millbrook one. Lake Wheeler is a little closer to my apartment!Terpball!! that was mean

lake johnson ftw(the unpaved side)
4/8/2008 4:43:57 PM
Oh yay! I can't wait for the ground to dry up a tad so I can take her out there! She loves to get muddy, but my apartment doesn't enjoy it too much!!

Admit it. You just wanted to post pics of your dog, didn't you?
4/8/2008 4:59:24 PM
wow - you should totally change the name. its not that hard. dogs arent that smart. i changed the same of my dog that i adopted from simmie to sam in about 2 days (granted that was probably an easier transition than some)

Hahah Skack!!! She's cute don't ya think?I can't decide what I would change her name to though. It does sound like a porn star, but that makes me like it a little more haha.

i currently live in north(ish) raleigh...i go to the dog park off spring forest at least twice a week...almost any night that i'm not there, my puppy and i will walk around lake lynn once or twicei'm moving near the one at carolina pines (the one everyone keeps mentioning in the thread) and i've been there a few times...it's nice, though i wish there was a bit more open space and fewer, well, pines...walking around any of the raleigh lakes is usually a pretty good venture
