Just from a topic i was talking about with a friend, and then curious to hear some stories. What is the most demoralizing test you have ever taken?I'd have to say it was a tossup for me, from eithera) the 1st time I took fluid mechanics (43 on the final and 2 flat tires on the way home) or b) control systems (1st question was 33 points and i''d never seen the topic... -30 on the 1st question!)

4/7/2008 9:53:45 AM
the final where i was sick and puked in the middle of the test time, had never seen ~50% of the material, and spilled OJ on the test immedately after getting it.popped that c-wall with a point to spare tho
4/7/2008 9:53:58 AM

My History of Film test that I didn't have time to study for. j/k Never had a difficult class because I'm not in any difficult majors and when I was, I just did the intro classes.

EITjust because it's soooo loooooonnng
4/7/2008 10:22:55 AM
oh fuckTT 321, first testI had nooooooooooooooooooooooooo idea there was gonna be THAT much detail on the test! I'd had the previous class in the series with the same prof, and as long as you got the math part, you were good to go on the tests. I expected the same in this class. I got a 17 :-\
4/7/2008 10:25:06 AM
and forwhatever it's worthif you've ever taken the nanoelectronics ece492m when misra was teaching itthere'd be ~9 people in the class, and she'd tell you3 of you will make an a3 of you will make a b3 of you will make a cif you stick around for the semester.then the first test, the "A" range was like 35%-100% correct"B" range - 20%-35%"C" range - <20%it was the only class ive ever busted my ass for, and been extatic when getting like a 40 on a test.lol[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 10:28 AM. BCH 451 isnt that hard it's just amazingly fucking tedious. Memorize all the shit they tell youto memorize and you'll get A's on all the tests.
4/7/2008 12:12:33 PM
Linear Algebra Final Exam,I got a freaking 14.Luckily, it was the most "curved" class I ever had.
4/7/2008 12:14:45 PM
perhaps it's the fact that when i took the fe it had no real consequence one way or anotherbut i dont get the hype.

one time i tried to pull an all nighter and crashed at like 11am...class was from like 1:15-2:30....well i wake up at 2 and am like oh fuck but i studied my ass off so i dont want to just not take it...so i get to there at like 2:10 and the teacher is like good luck...i finish like right around 2:30(might have been 2:32!!1) and shes like how did u do...it was like 50 questions so i was just like going with first instinct and not thinking twice...ended up getting an 80 which all things considered i felt that was good...bus 340
4/7/2008 1:53:09 PM
that's pretty fucking awesomeI think my worst was when I forgot my calculator to a statistics exam.. it was easy as fuck but he was the type to see if you had the right answer and if so he gave you full credit and moved on.. since I had no final answers he went through each of mine and counted off for any and everything I did wrongI believe I failed that one[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 1:56 PM. Last exam of the first semester of law school. Felt pretty good about the previous three, and the last was an open book, 30 (or 40) multiple choice question exam.I pretty much didn't study for it at all, because they gave us 5 HOURS to take 40 multiple choice questions...and you could bring in anything to help you with the exception of using the internet. It took me 4:45minutes to finish that exam and I made a C- with a curve. I MIGHT have gotten 15 questions right.Civil Procedure made me its bitch.

controls midterm, silverberg - ripped me a nice 53 out, but I think the TA just felt sorry for us.

4/7/2008 3:26:52 PM
any and every one of themno, kiddin, umm.....let me think. The only exams i've failed have been spanish ones. But even then, it wasn't demoralizing because I just don't give a flying fuck about spanish. My final grades are more demoralizing than any one grade because sometimes I feel like I bust my ass in a class, then i'll end up with a B- or a C+ or something and im just like fuck it. Then i catch shit from my parents and its just blah blah fuck

this applied microeconomics final that i took in grad school. it was a 6 hour all writing test and i finished about 2min before the time limit. but i wouldnt call it demoralizing, just absolutely draining. and a bit rediculous for an applied micro class
