I have a 96 Grand Cherokee with the stock AM/FM Cassette unit, looking to get a "new" unit with at least a CD player(AM/FM as well) but would love to have aux input for an ipod.Anyone going to a u pull place in the next few weeks? Willing to pay for unit and your time. Let me know.

just get something aftermarket. i'm not aware that any 93-98 gc had a factory aux. input. plus even cheaper new ones are going to be better quality, play all cd-r's, etc.

meh, might do ^^ that. I was just looking for something cheap for my beater. I'm going to be getting something newer by the end of the year but I currently have an hour drive and only the AM works in my jeep, loses signal driving through the county(s) so I was looking for something that could play at least CDs.

You can get a noname aftermarket head unit for 45-50 bucks that will play everything and have an aux input. I got my Dynex for the saturn 2-3 years ago for 35 bucks brand new from best buy. Plays mp3 cd's, gets decent radio reception and has the aux+50 cent cable = ipod

i'm not sure about gc's specifically, but a lot of older factory cd players won't play burned cd's. dunno if that's an issue for you or not...

something like this would work. As long as it as an AUX input for my ipod the lack of CD player wouldn't be an issuehttp://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Pyramid-AM-FM-Cassette-Player-w-Pull-out-Chassis/3014185/product.html

you could get the kenwood set-up we put in my boys car at christmas. It was like $150, but he got it ipod ready and we set up the ipod part in the glove box and ran the wires under the dash, pretty nice set up, no body sees the ipod and you can control it trough the deck.

^ thats my plan for my new ride. but Im not interested in puttin in $150 in this POS. I just want something cheap
